Yes, I'm betting it's a false checklist based off them reviewing your DS-260. Call on Monday to confirm

Hey everyone... Just an update on this. I called NVC and it was in fact a real checklist. I can't believe it... My scan date was 3/20. Instead of needing everything I first mentioned, they are requested another copy of my husbands previous divorce certificate (which I did send with the original packet) as well as a current bank statement. I STUPIDLY listed the amount currently in my bank account (I wasn't trying to use this amount as an asset... I already had a joint sponsor that I was using to meet the guidelines) thinking that I had to do this because my current income didn't meet the guidelines.

So this means I received a checklist in 8 days from my original scan date. The woman at NVC was incredibly nice and said she had never seen anything like it and it was NOT the norm. She said the every other doc was already approved and that these things were the only things needed.

She was putting in a review for the divorce certificate, but told me to mail it in anyways. She asked me to submit the divorce certificate, the current bank statement, and the barcode cover sheet. Are these the only three things I need to mail? I don't want to miss anything =(

Thanks everyone for the help.

Hey himanshu, I have a somewhat similar case to yours, in that my wife's the petitioner, I'm the applicant, and she lives with me abroad, and so her uncle (no joke) will be financially sponsoring me.

As far as AOS is concerned you need to file two I-864 forms, one by your wife and the other by your wife's uncle. The both need to put themselves down as Joint Sponsors; hers will have little or no income, while his will be a full-fledged version of that.

That's as much as I know, so I hope it did shed some light for you.

Hi LJSant,

Thank you so much for your response!

Did she filed for tax for the year when she was staying with you ? Because in my case she did NOT. This is really bothering as I already had one checklist and I don't want the second.

Relieved to know case like mine exist :)

Thanks again for responding!

amazing!!! I'm in shock too. Great that you got a helpful and informative rep. If it was just those 3 docs she wanted then I'd get those babies off in the mail today. Looks like NVC is working at lightening speed with mailed packages. This is great news for you! eki got their CC in 21 days and their canadian too. and to boot, they mailed their packages in well before paying AOS fee's (i don't quite get that one but it worked).

Praying for more miracles the Canadian way!!!

We paid AOS fee on march 3rd and shipped out packages on the 6th with the AOS payment cover sheet; Scan date was march 9th. On the 18th of march, AOS fee was rejected (hubby mistakenly put a wrong number). We paid AOS fee immediately on the 18th and it got accepted on the 19th.

N.B I sent out my documents despite my AOS fee showing "in process"....I asked several reps and they all said it was fine and that if for any reason the payment didn't go through, I would simply pay again.

Can anyone confirm what site they check for approval? When I login with my case and receipt number, I'm only seeing two lines where it says PAID. Where would the third N/A be? Or am I checking on the wrong site?

Hope you have a cc!!! Good luck to you!!!

It was not the same one! Thank you so much for your help! I'm confused though as to where I will see the 3 N/As:

Under the AOS it says,

AOS Fee PAID

AOS Support Docs N/A

Applicant Info says,

IV FEE PAID

IV Application COMPLETED

What lines should change to N/A? Thanks everyone!
