It will happen soon! My heart did drop when I saw it... Then tears, then jumping up and down in my bedroom trying not to wake up my child. lol I have been trying to call my fiancé for the past 20 minutes but he turned his phone off while he is sleeping! lol So my momma got my call. :) Now, I just wait for Paul to wake up and turn his phone on so I can tell him! lol

Congrats!

They received mine on January 30th but seem to have skipped over a lot of us from that day. Maybe, I'm at the bottom of their box?

Thank you! You will have yours any day now. My Fiancé said the same about ours a few days ago. He said he thinks they just throw them in a box and pick them out randomly and he too said ours was at the bottom lol

I got my approval today too. I did the same thing started jumping around, shaking my computer in excitement lol I was talking to my Fiancé when I got the news so we were excited together. I also had tears of joy, had a little bit of an anxiety attack lol I am still in shock though. My mom too got a call lol She is so happy for us. I hope are fellow February filers get their approval very soon.

My poor fiance. So, I have a second job at a retail store that I work some nights and weekends. We close at 9, and clean and straighten up for about an hour or so. I usually call him during this time, on my headset while I'm folding linens or sweeping. He's always still at work (2 hours earlier there and he also works long hours ) so he can't always answer and if he doesn't, we talk after 11 once he's home.

Recently though, he's been calling RIGHT back. I was super confused at first until I realized. ...he's hoping I've heard about the visa. He knows that thr texts go out at about 9:30. Poor thing. His hopes are so high. ...

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

!

TSC had a rocking good day yesterday with lots of February approval. Let's hope they keep that pace through the next couple of weeks. But knowing them they will come to a screeching halt again on Monday.

Hey everyone! I don't know why it took me so long to find this website, but i did.. our case was received feb 9th and still nothing.. I's exciting to see feb is already being approved.. but i'm even more anxious now thinking something might be wrong? Is anyone else coming from Ireland?

Coming from England. February 2nd, and still nothing. Don't worry they don't go in order, and there are several other early February filers yet to be approved. We just need to be patient. Edited by loganschonauer

thanks!!! ^^^^ it's getting to the end of the long stretch, really exciting :) I still can't believe this is our month! - side note.. what's the deal with working? i'm getting mixed answers on it, are you legally allowed to start looking for a job/ get hired as soon as you enter the US or do you really need to file for another visa and wait even longer?

I had the same question.. As far as I know, most people get married after K1, apply for AOS and at the same time apply for work permit (EAD). Now you cant legally work till you get the EAD in hand, but Im going to anyway start applying half way through the 3 month wait time. Getting a job is rarely a quick process, so hopefully by the time I get some interviews, I will have my EAD. If on the off chance, I get a quick offer, I will just be honest and say my work permit will be here in next couple weeks.
