Congratulations!!

Thank you both!

Congratulations, you must feel great!

The embassy received my file on the 7 but I have no news from them so far.

How was your interview? could you explain a little please?

It took about 11 days for me to receive the Packet 3 in the mail, have you tried contacting them? I sent them an email because I had no idea if the packet was going to be sent thru email or postal mail. they responded within 15 minutes.

I actually just left a review for the consulate here: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=16724

here's a copy and paste for ya:

"My appointment was scheduled at 1pm, I showed up at 12:45 and was able to walk in.

The security was friendly as always but the person who was in charge of gathering all my documents (window 5) was not friendly AT ALL, I even heard people complaining of her attitude. She didn't want my affidavit of support and any other proof of relationship, then she told me that the photo ID were not printed on the right paper which is false, I had them printed at a photographer...

I was told to sit down and wait to be called for the interview. (waited 4 hours and a half..) I was interviewed by a different person (a very nice one this time) and only ask me 3 questions: "Where did you met?" "How many times did you saw each other?" "Have you every been to the U.S?" and to finish "Congratulation your interview went well smile.gif the interview probably lasted less than 5 minutes. (BTW I asked her if my photo ID were acceptable, she said they were fine...)

It was stressful because the waiting felt endless and there was a guy right before me who got denied and started freaking out.. BUT I'm really happy and relieved.

Sorry If the review sounded whiny but this is my honest experience. "

Let me know if you have more questions.

Congratulations!

It sure is.

Have any August filers already entered the U.S. On their K1 yet?

I have given my notice at work already and have less than three weeks left. It all feels wonderful, yet surreal.

The Paris embassy can be a little slow because they are taking care of Portuguese cases http://france.usembassy.gov/ivisa/announcement20120223.html (my fiancé and I used to work there) but don't worry I'm sure the packet is on its way! I didn't hear everything but the guy was applying for a different visa and he said his situation was complicated... It made me panicking because we were only 3 people left in the consulate waiting for our turn but we were all approved! so lets not focus on this I'm sure you'll be fine ;)

It's always exciting to hear our groups good news!!

Congratulations!

Thanks you so much, we are so relieved to be done with the whole K-1 process. It's been a long, emotionally draining year for all of us but it was soooo worth it. I cannot wait to get in a plane and move on with our lives :)

Best of luck ya'll I'm sending positive vibes your way!!!

I really really wish there was a way that we could all meet for a reunion once everyone gets here and settled.

It's as if we are a family of sorts.

We have all been through this together, from the extremely hard times to the sharing of eachothers excitement and happiness. There's one young lady here that moved me to tears during the long hard winter wait, that I prayed so hard for, and tears again when she received the approval.

At the very least, we need to stay connected either here or perhaps FB.

No one can understand what we have been through unless they too have experienced this.

You are all great!

My fiance had her interview today, but I am not really sure what the result is, if any, she has to go back on Monday.

They gave her a difficult time about:

A previous overstay in the US, less than 6 months, about 10 years ago, they wanted her to fill out a waiver, but then changed their mind.

Said there wasn't enough proof of us being together or that I even visited her in Bolivia, which the pictures I sent clearly shows us together in Bolivia, some at various landmarks only found in Bolivia, in addition to hotel, flight, gift and money transfer receipts, fb and skype logs. She tried to show them additional pictures and proof that she had brought with her, but they did't want to see them, they just told her to come back on Monday.

They just kept her and her daughters passports and told her to come back on Monday by herself.

Keeping the passports is usually a good sign. At least they don't appear to have any reason/intention of denying the visa. Let us know how it goes. Damn, but it sucks having to wait on the unknown over a weekend. Please let us know how it goes on Monday. We'll be thinking of you guys.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Bolivia is actually one of the easiest embassy's to deal with compared to what I read about the others. They didn't even require a I-134 form, I asked if it was a mistake that it wasn't on the list to bring, and they told me it is not needed at the petition stage, and they didn't even ask about it at the interview (we have one filled out just in case). I think the interviewer just gave her a hard time to see her reactions and whatnot, I mean all the proof that I sent was enough, they said there were no pictures, but there was. I think they like to play games a little, they told another member on VJ a few months ago, who was approved by the way, that they lost their pictures, but the fiance had brought a photo album with him, which he was able to show. They didn't want to see any of the proof (pictures) that my fiance brought.

I am trying to find out from the other member if the passports are mailed back with the visa or picked up, if she says picked up, then I am hoping that is the point of going back on Monday.

I am sorry about the suspense. But I think there is hope, because keeping their passport usually means picking up the visa when the person return within few days. Please keep us posted. I wish you all the best.
