how often are people called for interviews on I-751

I have seen people

getting notices that the card is being printed, that probably mean, no interviews Yuppy....

I have not seen people saying they are called for interviews..

I asked an immigration lawyer how often do they interview...

she said.... very often...

I hope not..LOLOL ...Interviews are not something we are looking foward , are we???

I have not heard of anyone going to an interview for the Removal of Conditions. I have heard that they do sometimes request you to come for an interview, but I personally do not remember hearing of anyone who has.

I sure hope I don't have to do another interview. I want this over with already!!!!

Hi Meredith,

In answer to your message, the only reasons why people would be called to an interview for removing conditions are:

1) If the case is suspicious and requires further investigation by the USCIS.

2) General USCIS auditing purposes for quality control. Kind of like filling out the census long forms versus the short forms, I suppose (for example, if they are let's say looking for the 10th house for the long form, and you so happen to be the 10th house, then they will give you the long form instead of the short form and they can question you further).

I think this information is also on the I-751 application form (on the instructions page). As well, this is also the information that the immigration lawyer that we hired told us.

Nevertheless, do be prepared for an interview, just in case, as you never know what can happen during the immigration process...

The only time I got an interview was when I filed my Adjustment of Status and it was in the Immigration Center in Santa Ana, CA. The only question the officer asked was how did we meet and thats pretty much it.

I think if you supplied with sufficient evidence for the I-751 then you will be just fine. Always be prepared though just in case they do some random quality control thing.

I had an interview for my AOS, to get the greencard,

and I remember I took more evidences with me...But at the time the interview was like 10 minutes

it was so quick...But I guess it is pretty common for AOS>

I had to go down all the way to Philadelphia for that. The interview lasted like 5 to 10 minutes.

This time I put a lot of evidences, everything that is required and even more...

I sure hope I'm not selected for an interview...

I remember a couple posting here about being called for an interview in the past 6 months or so. In their case, there was a thing or two about the case that looked somewhat unusual on the face of it, and this was probably the reason for the interview. But the relationship was legit, and after explaining the situation at the interview, they were approved with no problem. Sorry I don't remember more details about the issue.

I also seem to remember someone awhile back posting about their being called for an interview, and the interviewer said something to the effect of: "Some people are called because things don't seem right, and others are called at random for quality control purposes. We can usually spot you random quality control couples when you walk in the door".

I've never heard of a legitimate couple having trouble at an I-751 interview.
