That's all well and good in theory, but one can easily imagine such a tactic, forcing people to remain in poverty.

I would argue that the current welfare state "forces" people into a lifetime of dependence.

We would be better off "forcing" them into something useful, like a job.

Why not make jobs better paying I.e. If you work full time, then you should at least expect to afford food and a place to live, without government assistance. Don't condemn people to subsistence on levels of pay that they can't possibly expect to escape their miserable lot in life. Making conditions so bad on welfare, that it allows businesses to undercut pay and conditions for those who already have a job, doesn't help get people out of poverty, it only helps the growing income gap increase even further.

Actually, it's not me that is making stuff up. It's you. The original conversation was whether more white people than black people are on the dole. You said (look below) it's a lie that more whites than blacks are on the dole and came with some unverifiable number from some obscure website to support that statement. I asked for the source of these percentages that are presented and it seems that thus far, when we looked closer at actual agency reports, it appears that it is indeed true that more white folk than black folk are on the dole.

More whites on welfare is one of the biggest lies that keeps getting told to the black asses by the race baiters.

As usual you are wrong. Also when you factor in that around 72% of the Population is white and around 14% is black, the fact that there are more blacks on welfare, is huge disproportionate number . Please carry on.
