Hi Everyone!

Has anyone here could give me details of what to send to USCIS for my AOS application? Like what are the forms needed and what are the proof we need to include on the paper works? We just don't want to receive RFE. Also how much is the Filing fee for AOS together with the EAD?

Thank You So Much :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi Everyone!

I just want to know what to include on our AOS and EAD packet? And what are the Forms needed to submit and how much will be the Fee. We just don't want to get RFE. We look at some website but seems like the Info are limited. So I thought it would be best to just ask people here who have gone through AOS Process and EAD.

If you're on a Mobile browser, stop. Go to a Desktop or Laptop. Click Guides up at the top; then AOS. Problem solved.

Edit: The fee should be $1070.

Normally all you need to do is make a copy of the DS-3025 to include with the I-485. I make a suggestion to include a copy of page 4 of the I-485 instructions with section 7c highlighted and staple that to the copy of the DS-3025 because some adjudicators think everyone should send in the I-693 which isn't true.

Here is a simple letter to use to send with your packet. Go down the list and use it like a check list. You didn't indicate if you have any K2's, but if you do then include what is in this letter otherwise skip. If you were annulled or divorced include what is in the letter otherwise skip.

Any questions come back and ask and we will help you.

Even the CS gets this wrong a lot. Our CS insisted on a full exam, probably so he can milk us for the big fee, and he would not back down even when I showed him the USCIS regulations.

In our case, my wife's shots were not complete, so we had to use CS, but Hank's point is still equally valid. A lot of people get these things wrong, including adjudicators and the CS.

Hi Hank,

Thank's for reply,

I only had 1 vaccine shots from st. Lukes and I believe i still need the TDAP shot which was not available when i took my Medical at St. Lukes. However it doesn't say on my Vaccination record that I need it. So I'm not so sure if i need to go to Civil surgeon and get that shot as my 3025 looks completed.

Do u have any Idea as to how the vaccine form looks like if you're missing vaccine shots? And if you need to complete more vaccination?

Hi Greenbaum,

Thank's for reply. I just want to ask

I have my DS-3025 but i don't know if i need to see Civil surgeon and transcribe it to I-693

I remember i need TDAP shot which was not available at St. Lukes when i had my medical. They only gave me 1 Shots, But my DS-3025 looks completed and doesn't say if i need to get that TDAP shots. Do u know how DS-3025 looks like if you need more vaccination?

We just don't want to receive RFE we wanna make sure everything will be submitted correctly to USCIS.

Hi Everyone!

Just a question on How to answer these forms.

For married, I understand we now need to use our married name, so our Last name when we were Single will now be used as MIDDLE NAME is that correct? And our husband's Last Name will now serve As our LAST NAME For all of these application Am I correct? I know this is kinda common sense but bear with me as we just don't want to get RFE plus there's nothing with asking :)

Also with I-765 question regarding Place of Last Entry do we put our POE (Airport) or the state where we currently staying?

Thank You So Much!!!

This depends on what you decided to do when you got married - at least in MA you can change your name by simply filling out the marriage certificate appropriately on day of wedding with your new name if you so choose.

If you have done that or legally changed your name then you want to put your new name in for AOS, ie. whatever you now have as last name. Your maiden name is only your new middle name if that is what you have changed it to, when you changed your name. For example I chose to keep my middle name and hyphenated my husband's name onto my maiden name, so there is no default. Only you can know what is correct.
