Can anyone tell me what is the best method for assembling my application package?

Do i use a 3 ring side binder?

Do i use a 2 hold top binder?

Do i use no binder at all?

What is reccomended?

People here say it does not matter. When I was getting my I-130 ready, I found a page that said to two hole punch it at the top. My thought...whatever they want is what I will do.

I used a 10 pocket divider folder and had no problems with it.

The simpler, the better.

NO binders.

The people in the USCIS mail room tear apart the petition packages and reassemble them.

One of those big black, industrial size paper clips. No binders of any type.

Don't use binders at all. The best advice is to just keep everything together with paperclips.

They will disassemble and re-assemble your petition in the format that they want...and everything else not needed is tossed in the trash, including that binder you were considering.

In regards to assembling the package, I do have a few final questions (the minutiae here seems infinite, am I the only who feels this way?):

1. Paperclips or binder clips (black triangular things with silver "legs")?

2. One clip for the entire package, or one for each section that has multiple pages (I-129F form, G-325A plus supplements and pics, etc)?

3. Preferred ordering of elements: payment/G-1145/cover letter or cover letter/payment/G-1145?

4. Where on the envelope should I mark "ORIGINAL SUBMISSION: I-129F"?

Hopefully sending it in by the end of the week!

Thanks for the help! On the USCIS assembling tips page, it says to write the nature of submission on the envelope, so now I'm confused... >.<

• Mark both the envelope and the cover letter as to the nature of the submission. Example: ORIGINAL SUBMISSION - BRIEF FOR AN APPEAL - RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - etc.
• Use the appropriate mailing address and mark both the envelope and the cover letter as to the form type. Example: I-129; I-130; I-690; I-698, etc.

I just put it all in an envelope.

Quick approval and no RFE.

Don't over complicate something they are going to tear apart.
