February 2015 filers

Hi jk1243!

Welcome to a fellow German filer. VSC is not currently processing I-129Fs, they haven't been for a year or more - all cases were transferred to Texas. Sadly, as a NY filer you will join me and my fiance at TSC. We have been in the queue since late December. The entire process until visa in hand is running around 10months right now (8 months for TSC/NVC and 2 months for the embassy in Frankfurt). TSC also seems to be falling further behind...add to that the unknown impact of DACA/DAPA on the timelines... Frankfurt, at least, is pretty quick once you get past the USCIS/NVC stage, but 2 months is definitely needed there too.

No one can predict the process for you, but an October wedding, with the current processing times, seems unlikely at best....

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

My fiance and I have planned almost a year for the entire process, hoping to get married in December 2015 - but we won't make any firm plans until we have the visa in hand.

Good luck in your journey!

Sent out our petition on 31st January 2015 which they received on 9th Feb at Dallas Texas. Being accepted and routed to California service Centre for further process.

I have a question for old fellows here. We forgot to include passport "entrance and exit" copies which shows my fiancé visited me thou we have included a dozan pix , boarding pass and other tickets. Will that be an issue and they will ask for RFE or it doesn't matter as we have provided other evidences to support our petition .

Kind Regards

Depends on the adjudicator. You may be fine - most likely actually.

Even if not, CSC is fast and with a RFE you will still be approved in a few weeks.

Mailed off our petition on 2/4, received the NOA 1 2/10. Haven't received the hard copy yet. Praying for a fluke that we're sent to CSC but preparing myself for the painful wait of TSC. My fiancé is officially back in Sydney so we won't see each other until the process is over.

In your NOA 1 email it should tell you where your petition is going.

Just sending love to all the VJ people because this site has helped me with a lot of information! So I hope to help out with other questions. At the TSC hoping that the new immigration laws dont push us back too far with TSC. I understand we have to wait 6-7 months so I am being patient!! Good luck all Feb filers!

Sent my I-129f packet along with e-notification [G-1145] and so far i received a Fedex delivery confirmation from Texas Service Center on Feb 12th Morning. I know the waiting game starts now.

So my dear fellas , how long does NOA1 and NOA 2 take provided the file stays in Texas vs CA? . The timelines on this website do not look very encouraging for both service centers and i'm dreading the unforeseen delays :clock: .

desi123- I received my email and text the same day you did. My petition will stay with Texas. booo but I am going to think positive thoughts and hope a miracle happens that I get an NOA2 in a month. Can't hurt but in reality from looking at timelines it's around 2 months sometimes longer.

Keep the positive thoughts try not to think about it.

I do have to ask the website you can check the status of your petition. How long does it usually take for your case number to show up?

2nd go round

1st K-1 Denied

Subitted Feb 2-6-15

NOA1 - 2-18-15

NOA2 - 8-18-15

Interview 11-25-15 - Denied

And Here we go again -

New K1 submitted - 1-9-16

NOA1 - 1-12-16 (according to USCIS)

Text received 1-15-16

hardcopy - not received yet as of 1-26-16

Pepper44 your status case should post when after you get your hard copy of the NOA1 in the mail. Also, if you're just submitting and are getting processed through TSC, you probably won't get your NOA2 until July or August. :(

I think some people may be upset, but I saw on the USCIS site that they postponed allowing apps for DACA. Hopefully, if the TSC was preparing, they hired a lot of people thinking they would have to process these apps. Which in turn, I hope means that now they can focus more on K1 visa's for the time being. Maybe they can play some catch up. I see they are approving apps from August now which is a good sign. Although that is 6 months, I think they will pick up the pace.

My fiancé had been telling me about this happening. He says there are 26 states that are going against this program. I'm hoping they can postpost pone it until they at least catch up! President Obama is supposed to veto something. My fiancé can explain it more. He reads it more than I do and I'm the American citizen! Dah well...what would I do without him!?

I was reading about DACA on the web uscis.gov, and i saw this 'Accordingly, the Department of Homeland Security will not begin accepting requests for the expansion of DACA tomorrow, February 18, as originally planned. Until further notice, we will also suspend the plan to accept requests for DAPA.'

I'm also hoping that the lag at TSC will speed up on K1 cases.
