Great! Unfortunately for us, your spouse (or you) was from the Phillipines, and your petition was expedited, while our wait times at Texas Service Center are around 5.5-7 months. You come here to let us know you are happily married and together, thats good for you, congratulations, but is there another point to your post? I'm sorry but all posts like these do is make the rest of us feel bad.

@hiswifey08 I understand that you may genuinely think you are helping us by letting us know how quickly your application was processed. However, I must aware you of the situation regarding expedited petitions for petitions in which the Beneficiary's country is the Philipines.

All of these petitions are expedited, due to a relief measure enacted by USCIS after the Typhoons. These applications take days to weeks to approved. However, if you are a non-filipino waiting at Texas Service Center (who services the entire east coast of the USA), you are looking at a wait of 5.5-7 months minimum.

It is safe to say this is incredibly frustrating for all of us facing (or having gone through) this incredibly daunting and seemingly unnecessary long wait time.

We do not mean to come across as brash, rude, or impolite, but if you could imagine what it feels like to be in our shoes. Sat here watching others get to be with their honey's SO much sooner than us, you can begin to understand the pain and frustration we experience every single day.

• A change or extension of nonimmigrant status for an individual currently in the United States, even when the request is filed after the authorized period of admission has expired;

Philippine applications are expedited and processed much faster than other countries, so what you experience will not be the experience of most other applicants from other countries...
