So I got a text message at 7:30am this morning from USCIS stating that my case was updated. What in the world does this mean? Haha are they just late at sending it? We've completed everything and are now just currently waiting for the interview letter, why would I receive an update from the USCIS?!

Checked CEAC and got "Administrative Processing"

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

I got a text from USCIS 13 months after receiving the greencard in the mail that AOS was approved. Well it said case updated and the update was approval. It had been shown as still processing on the status thing over a year after being mailed out.

Yup it says "Case forwarded to DOS" ...ummm that's been over a month ago lol

I guess I should just expect to recieve nonsense texts from them then haha

I guess it was, but I did contact the embassy, surprisingly got no reply, but the status changed on the CEAC site and within 2 days packet four arrived - I was surprised it was dated 6 weeks away

Oh, word of advice, I was like you I think. It drove me crazy having no communication, relax and itll happen when it happens otherwise you'll go insane

Thanks! I've read as many reviews as I can and prepared myself as much as possible, still some nerves starting to kick in now.

It's our little boys 1st birthday today! Approval next week would be a great late gift ?

For anyone interested in how my case is getting along, the NVC advisor I just spoke to said something curious. They said that it's logged in the system that the embassy and received everything they needed on September 10th. Considering I submitted my DS-160 and readiness back in Jul and attended my medical on August 12th (with the CEAC case status updating on August 18th - presumably the results getting there) that makes zero sense whatsoever.

I have a horrible feeling that they misplaced/didn't register my readiness being sent in until weeks after I had - a similar situation to Sunya and Tim.

Meh.
