How to wright the cover letter for the K-1 petition?

Hi!

So I am working on the cover letter for the petition and I was wondering if I needed to put the E-notification as a part of the list of what is included? And do I need to wright that the cover letter is a part of it as well?

For example, would I have it like this?

• Payment in the amount of $340
• E-notification
• Cover Letter
• I-129F
• I-129F Supplement: Part 2, Question 34.a, explanation of meeting in person
• Letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
• Proof of having met in person in the past two years
• G-325A (Petitioner)
• G-325A Supplement: applicant's residence and employment last five years
• Passport style photo (Petitioner)
• G-325A (Beneficiary)
• G-325A Supplement: applicant's residence and employment last five years
• Passport style photo (Beneficiary)
• Birth certificate (Petitioner)
• Proof of ongoing relationship

Or should I not have the e-notification and cover letter not listed?

Please let me know if this is right or wrong and thank you for helping!!

I listed the G1145 but not the cover letter. Apart from that our cover letter looked very similar with the exception of the supplements - I squeezed everything into the forms, including the statement about how we met, hence we did not have any supplements.

I put the G1145 on top of the entire package.

Do you think it is okay to have the check first, the G-1445, and then the cover letter with everything else?

I think as lon as the package is complete, the order doesn't matter.

We had two packages, sort of - the first package contained the coverletter, I-129F, the G325as with pictures paper clipped to each of them, the letters of intent and the birth certificate copy. All this was held together with a big paper clip and we put an envelope labelled payment with the cheque on top. The second package contained all our evidence, passport stamps of shared trips, tickets, boarding passes and 12+ pictures. This package had its own little cover sheet labelled evidence and was held together with some bulldog clips.

On top of these two packs we put the G1145 and mailed the entire thing. So far so good. :-)

I believe in making it as easy as possible for the USCIS officers, hence I tried to structure my package with reasonable logic. In the end though, they will take the entire think apart, digitize it (I am assuming) and putting it into their style of file anyway.

Don't need to mention the cover letter, it will be on top of everything else with your check on top of that.

I did my the way Tabeak did. I just did not use separate envelopes. I put all the requirements together separated by small paper clips and one big one for all of it. I did the same with evidence. I put the cover letter on top. Then the G1145 on top of that, then the check on top of everything.

I did list the Gll45 but not the cover letter

I do not think it really matters how it is done as long as it is organize. I do not think the person that looks at it, wants to go thru a bunch of papers to find the one item he is looking for

I've seen so many postings here with ... "shoot...I screwed up"...

Not to scare you, but double and triple check everything for accuracy,

and make at least 2 copies...

In my case, I scanned everything into several PDF files and kept them securely in a USB drive.

I don't see any divorce decree being included...so I assume there is no divorce in this case?

In fact, no cover letter is required, as long as "Original I-129F petition" is on the mailing-envelope and obvious in the contents.

The topic of (not) arranging the petition package has been discussed in this forum probably several hundred times. Via a search, the relevant threads can be found.

Keep the itemized list for yourself, as a reference.
