had a really good analysis presented this weekend at a Oil Symposium at the Rice Institute,

showing that the end-buyer of the petrol products made from this mix

was a foreign buyer - not even this hemisphere.

So - even some temporary gains for USA employment and USA land-lease for the pipeline,

none of that petrol product will be sold in the USA,

as it's already prebought by several foreign companies.

So, sorry, I no longer support this stupid pipeline. I did, for about 3 years, but no more, no longer.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Keystone XL benefits Transcanada and Canada and that's about it. Yes, it will create a few temporary construction jobs in the US but nothing worth mentioning in the long run.

Seems like a lot of risk for very little benefit to this nation.

Keystone means jobs. Construction jobs, port jobs and pipeline maintenance jobs.

False prophet.

Hopefully not. <_<

But either way, I hope this whole charade comes to a conclusion soon. Dragging out an environmental impact study for 6 years is just a little on the ridiculous side.

Obama does not have to run again for office, but Democrats in the House and Senate will. Teamsters and a few other trade unions have threatened to jump over to the Republicans on a few issues, as most of their locals and the general membership find themselves agreeing more with the Republicans on a host of issues, more so than they do with the Democrats. This may be one case where the Teamsters could exert enough pressure on Democrats to override an Obama veto.
