It's indeed a good news oh yeah it's pretty default that they add some Embassy info in the email , it's not going straight to Embassy.

Hmm, we phoned the NVC aparently what happened was when my wife orignally phoned up, the info she got was incorrect, such as the email address to send to, and what to put in the email - we spent some time with a supervisor over the phone looking through the emails and determined it went to the wrong address with the wrong security info - we said ok, and that we were dissapointed she got the wrong information and we had to wait another long while, the supervisor said to leave it with her and see what she could do; we got this email response as a reply from the inital (incorrect) email and not the new email we sent with the correct info:

Dear Sir/Madam:

I'll take it thats good news? why is there the Irish US embassy on there? is it going straight there or is that just standard? I thought we needed to send stuff to the NVC before we went to Dublin for the interview.

Thanks all :)

Indeed it's a good news. Our case got upgraded 2 days after recieving this email. Keep checking the CEAC website because the upgrade email takes some time to come. :dancing:

Thank you very much!

We are just filling out the rest of the I-864 its pretty complex as my wife is a full time student so doesnt work and has no income, we are using a family friend, so dunno if the family friend is part of the "household" or not. ahhhh we will figure it out.

Thanks for the help - I am glad we are finally making progress.

Any idea how long it would be from when we get our invoice to getting the interview?

I do not have the exact estimate. I just sent my AOS and IV packages. They are taking 60 days to review the document. After that either case complete or checklist is generated. If case is completed without any checklist then Around 3.5 months is needed from sending the packages to interview. But checklist makes the scenario worse adding another 60 days waiting time.

What if the case is complete and beneficiary is awaiting the pd to become current by the time the petitioner sends email to upgrade? Will it still take 60 days to review ?

Hi judesky1,

i think you would be getting nvc welcome letter soon for your wife. Keep checking your inbox. And you will have to wait till ur oath to upgrade not after interview. Once you have ur citizenship certificate then you can email or mail scanned copy of it to NVC. And sadly, thats what ive been reading that it will take 60 days for review, which literally sucks! so much wait :(

My husband is having his citizenship interview on 17th june. I hope by that time my case is completed at nvc. Also, hoping for bigger jump in july visa bulletin so maybe our date would be current !

Well it depends, you can call NVC and if they have received your case, they will give you a case number. In our situation, as you can see in my timeline, my i130 was approved in feb 2014 and i got the case number in march 2014 by calling nvc. But they didnt give me invoice id. That was in the welcome letter. The welcome letter is sent to the beneficiary and petitioner when the nvc is ready to process your case. It simply tells you to move on to next steps like pay fees and submit docs. I got the welcome letter because probably my priority date is near being current.
