We still have nothing to say we've been upgraded, its quite disheartening, considering we have everything we need to proceed like the police certs and AOS.

We sent the email in I think the 1st December so surely we should be near to the processing point?

We sent email on NOv 26 and I was able to fill up my ds261 on Jan 16. You should definitely be near processing part. Call NVC and ask for a supervisor. We did that and got upgraded within next week.

Hey guys, glad i found this thread. Good luck to u all! My husband is stilll waiting for naturalization interview. and once he becomes a citizen, he will immediately email and mail nvc to upgrade my approved I-130! Its really disturbing to know that it will take so long to upgrade and then further wait to send forms and fees! and then wait for the interview at the embassy :clock::(

I have read on some threads that by contacting the congressman incharge of your district can help shake things a bit? Is it worth a shot? And whats best, to email or call at their offfice?

Check this link for field office specific processing timeframes for N400. In your case, the processing time for LA field office is 5 months. So, your husband is still inside the N400 processing timeframe. If your husband's case is past the processing time then only contacting with Senator/Congressman will help. Otherwise they will just tell you to wait.

I got a reply to an email I sent a month after my wife sent it in - they said unfortunately there is missing documentation. We sent a word file containing a cover letter, her nat cert, noa2 and our marraige cert

needless to say we are pissed going to ring them up now.

Hmm, we phoned the NVC aparently what happened was when my wife orignally phoned up, the info she got was incorrect, such as the email address to send to, and what to put in the email - we spent some time with a supervisor over the phone looking through the emails and determined it went to the wrong address with the wrong security info - we said ok, and that we were dissapointed she got the wrong information and we had to wait another long while, the supervisor said to leave it with her and see what she could do; we got this email response as a reply from the inital (incorrect) email and not the new email we sent with the correct info:

Dear Sir/Madam:

I'll take it thats good news? why is there the Irish US embassy on there? is it going straight there or is that just standard? I thought we needed to send stuff to the NVC before we went to Dublin for the interview.

Thanks all :)
