Two weeks ago I wrote to my Senator. Our I130 was approved today.

Mailed I130: 12-5

NOA1: 12-8

NOA2: 3-13

95 days.

That's great im writing and sending a letter to my senator tomarrow and hoping for an approval too. Where my husband is staying is not safe. Did the senator respond back to you saying he/she will look into your case

Well no one knows for sure if the letter to the Senator worked or was just coincidental. Another couple with the same NOA1 date was also approved on the same day as well. Could just be that TSC is working ahead of processing times now?

To answer your question: Yes, Harry Reid sent a letter to me saying that his staff would make contact with TSC which they did do and they were confronted with TSC defending their processing times. Less than a week later (last Friday) we got our approval with a text and email notification. They did not indicate to his office when they were on the phone that they were working on our case.

So it's unknown for sure if it helped or just a lucky coincidence. It certainly can't hurt so there is no harm in writing.

Did you have a special case that the senator was able to get a speedy approval for you? My congresswoman told me to wait 5 months before she could do anything. ?

NOA1: December 17

No we did not have a special case. I wrote to my Senator because I was seeing how slow the process was between the two service centers and decided I would be proactive with my concern with the process. We do not have any proof that the contact from my senators office helped our approval in any way or if it was a lucky coincidence. After I had made the post another couple with the exact same NOA1 date and country was also approved. So it looks like it was just a coincidence.

Certainly it won't cause you any harm in writing a letter. I would however write to your senior Senator for your state and not a congress member.

I have been looking at similar timelines and there are cases that are were sent around that same time frame as my case that have already been approved by TSC. (I'm at TSC too) and mine is yet to be approved. I'm Definitely going to be proactive about this and try to do something. Thanks for you feedback and congrats and good luck with the rest of your journey

My I-130 was approved on March 20 according to the USCIS website. It was a pleasant surprise because my NOA1 was December 9, 2014, so it took about 3.5 months from NOA1 to approval (awaiting NOA2 in the mail, hopefully this week or next). I didn't have to pull any strings (senators, congressman, etc.).

I did make an address change about 3 weeks ago, so that may have had something to do with a quick approval, but that's unlikely. It may just be that TSC is busting its tail and approving faster than before.

I don't have much to update but I'll post something to help keep the thread going.

We sent our petition to the Chicago lock box. It was sent to TSC. NOA1 date 12/17/14.

On 1/27/2015 we got a transfer notice. It was sent to the National Benefits Center. I posted on here to try and get info about NBC but didn't find much help. It seems not many I-130s go there or something! And their site gives no information about processing time.

So, I called USCIS last Wednesday to try and get some information. I actually got a very nice representative and she looked it up and said that NBC is currently processing I-130s for spouse of US citizen received on 11/28/14.

I don't know what that means exactly as I don't know how many I130s they process daily but it sounds like we may be getting close. I hope so!

That's all I have for now.

Our I-130 was approved on January 26th and we've been with the NVC starting in February. We filed our DS-260 and sent along our IV and AOS forms and supporting documents. So I suppose we're waiting on a scan date and then sit back for 60 days. Best of luck to ya'll.

I don't have much to update but I'll post something to help keep the thread going.
