My fiance the beneficiary plans after he passes his interview he would like to stop in Detroit Mi to see his brother then for them as family to drive down to Tx to my residence will this have any negative effect on the POE ????

I can't see why this would be a problem personally but others may disagree.

No. His POE(port of entry) is where he first enters the US. He will go through immigration there and turn in his sealed envelope. Once cleared and admitted to the US, he can travel freely anywhere within the US.

no it would not affect anything. The poe is only the first place you arrive that is part of the USA after you arrived at poe you can go anywhere you want in the usa.it might be harder to go to one of the territories such a guam but any of the 50 states you will be good.

I plan on when it time for my wife to come here to fly to manila fly back with her to Denver Colorado where I use to live visit a couple of days then drive to Austin Texas with her where I live now

It may or may not be an issue from immigration point of view, but morally I think it is wrong for any beneficiary to take this type of action. After all, you and all petitioners alike spend our precious time, energy, and hard earned money on petitions so that we could be with our love ones. Instead of a thank you or appreciation from them by seeing their love ones first, they would prefer to see their family instead. To me, as a petitioner, it would feel like a "slap in the face" so to speak. Couldn't they just do it the other way round, if it is not a life or death situation. Is that asking too much from the petitioners?? I don't think so!

It's really a uncomfortable feeling he can't choose sides I miss him they his family misses him I don't know I just don't want him to stay as long as they do but I'll let it go once he comes he's here 4 good and that's it

No because I have 2 kids in school , work plus his brother who is paying his plane ticket whom I appriciate wants my fiancé to stay 20 days or not at all .. I put my self in everyone's position they miss him he misses them I just think it's a long time buttttttt it's alright I'll see him after that ...

I think we are in different situation.

First off all, you'll be with her. For me and OP (I am assuming), that won't be the case.

Secondly, in my fiancee's case, she has seen her sibling just a week ago when she came to US on a visit visa.

20 days that is a little different i was thinking you met 4 0r 5 days to visit a week at most

yes you are right it is different but still I would not mind if it delay it for a couple of days but the op posted that it would be for 20 days that would upset me too
