Does anyone know if the consulate in Lagos is still scheduling for Feb interview? I got my CC on th 22nd of Decembe and I still don't have an interview date yet. I called NVC but the story remains the same

I haven't seen anyone after 12/15 CC get a date. I believe they are filled up for February. But you can call and verify.

Bem,while I agree with you that they need to update us (those who have pending interviews), I don't think it fair for you to request theirs when you cannot update your timeline for others behind you

dwheels, is it ok to schedule the biometrics appt. about 1 month in advance of interview? It should be right?

Just got approved at the Montreal Consulate today! So happy! Total process only took about 30min. Thank you to all those who were so helpful in answering my questions especially Saylin, dhwheels and NLR!

Congratulations. Man this has been some week of joyous news. (awwww and thank you :goofy: )

Sure you can. You have 6 months to POE always remember that doesn't matter. Some do it soon as they can incase they get in sick or whatever or have to go back or whatever.

Congrats on all the interview approvals!

One question: the NVC fees we paid was the old ones (we paid around September the IV fee). Now do we have to pay the difference? If so, how does it work??

07/10/2014 left USCIS
07/22 arrived at NVC
07/31 Case# assigned
08/01 AOS Bill invoiced and DS 261
08/02 AOS bill paid and DS 261 completed
08/05 AOS bill shows PAID in the ceac website
08/13 AOS package sent
08/18 AOS package delivered (USPS website track number)
09/11 IV Bill invoiced
09/12 IV bill shows PAID
09/12 DS 260 completed
09/12 IV package sent
09/18 IV package received (rep. told this date but the 60 days waiting letter says 09/16).

I just went on this site https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and entered my case number and it said my case number is at NVC. Does that mean I have an interview date set?

No, that means that your case is still at NVC. Once your case has been sent to the embassy you know you have an interview date.

Nope. Your fees you pay either before or after the increase are good for a year. wooo whooo.

Yes we overprepared which was fine with us considering toughness of Lagos Embassy. I was really shocked at what a breeze it was. Maybe it came from sending a lot of evidence at first stage.

My wife had CR1 interview yesterday morning at Mumbai embassy and it's been approved! I was over the moon when i heard the good news from her. I just checked and it's been saying "Issued" so hopefully she will able to pick it up next day. Thank you so much dwheels76 and good everyone... :dancing:
