The I-864EZ is a shortened version of the I-864, and is a more convenient option for those that qualify to use it.There are certain criteria that need to be met to use the EZ form, those that don't qualify are required to use the standard I-864. Basically, the I-864 can be used in place of the I-864EZ, but you cannot use the I-864EZ in place of I-864 unless you qualify.

If you qualified to use the EZ, but instead completed the standard form, I don't believe you have anything to worry about. It's my understanding that even if you qualify to use the EZ, you are not required to do so.

10/11/2014 – Mailed I-130 packet to the Chicago Lockbox
10/14/2014 – I-130 packet signed for
10/15/2014 – Priority date assigned
10/19/2014 – Acceptance confirmation email received
10/20/2014 – Check cashed
10/24/2014 – Received I-797C (NOA1)
10/27/2014 – Faxed the USCIS expedite packet to the Senator's office
10/29/2014 – Expedite request sent to USCIS from the Senator's office on my behalf
11/05/2014 – USCIS approved I-130 petition
11/07/2014 – USCIS sent case to the NVC for processing
11/08/2014 – Received I-797, Approval!!! (NOA2)

11/11/2014 - Emailed the NVC Expedite Packet to the Senator's office
11/12/2014 - Expedite request sent to NVC from the Senator's office on my behalf
11/12/2014 - NVC received case from USCIS
11/28/2014 - Received confirmation email from NVC, expedite request was received and is being processed
12/09/2014 - NVC Case number assigned
12/10/2014 - NVC Welcome letter email
12/10/2014 - Submitted form DS-261
12/11/2014 - AOS fee invoiced
12/12/2014 - AOS fee submitted
12/15/2014 - AOS fee shows paid
12/16/2014 - Sent AOS and IV packets
12/17/2014 - AOS and IV packets received by NVC
12/17/2014 - Embassy denied expedite without a reason, informed over the phone by Hazel from NVC

12/19/2014 - Received email from NVC confirming AOS and IV packets received, scan date 12/17

I have to be honest, I am not sure about whether or not the blue ink will be an issue. At one point I had heard people were getting a checklist for it. I have also heard of people not having an issue with it. It might be something you want to call the NVC about just to verify.

Thank you !,that exactely what happened to me .i went over all topicsthat talk about that issue and was confused too .some said blue ink some said black .we try call them today but its bussy in NVC.ty you again

It Does say in the instructions to type or print legibly in black ink, and to sign form. However it does not say you have to sign the form in black ink. I do not think it will make a difference as long as the form is fill out properly

true becuase i read it too they talk about fill the form in black ink but they did not tak about what ink to sign it ty

You should use black but I doubt you will get a checklist for it.

It will be really ridiculous get check list for that too above all when they make people wait damn 60 days for each mistake

Well don't make mistakes? I managed to get through the USCIS and the NVC without an RFE or a checklist. Sometimes the checklist isn't your fault but it generally doesn't take them the whole 60 days to review it again.

I know it sucks, but that's why reading all the instructions, even while doing a form is so important.

In all our documents, we have mixture of black and blue ink signatures, and no RFE so far.

Also, I've not read anyone getting RFE over ink color in VJ so far.
