football is important.

I don't know why they even bothered with the game, the fans should've just started rioting and looting in the stadium. Magine all the expensive sportswear and electronics that could be had there. Get that message out!!

and instead of rioting, they made a simple gesture that harmed not a damn soul. and you think they should be punished for it. now there's a message.

The protesters should have blocked entry of all the NFL games to get their message across instead of roads that working folks use everyday ...

That's right, the message is we as a civilized society have rules. Those who do not follow those rules put others in danger and should be punished. That simple harmless gesture as you refer to it could have easily kicked off a riot inside the stadium. It was also done on the company dime, in the company stadium, wearing the company uniform, the NFL could easily fine or fire them for doing so. In my opinion they should be fined. If I was a paying ticket holder for that game, I would have written an e-mail to the NFL voicing my displeasure with the display. A football game is no place for political protests.

then i guess it wouldn't be a welcomed change among football fans to have rioting caused by some unrelated current event instead of the outcome of the game. got it.

Yeah, imagine the poor parents that take their young kids to a football game only to get trampled to death by an unruly crowd because some rich punks who play the game wanted to show their support for a criminal. Gotta get that message out!!

Yay Riot!!

i might see where you're coming from, if that actually happened. but it didn't and all the poor parents taking their youngins to the game only have to worry about rioting in the event that some super drunk folks riot over losing, or winning. let's all take our kids to football games to teach them how to be law abiding citizens :dancing: !!!!

some rich punks supporting a criminal who never got his day in court. but he deserved it, hell yeah.

I don't support any form of rioting, to use one form of rioting to justify another doesn't make much sense imo.

According to the grand jury, yes he did.

oh yeah me too, i wasn't attempting to justify rioting at the football game. can't justify something that didn't happen.

and the nfl decided not to discipline their rich punks.

Yeah it's a shame that the cop doing his job is the villain, and the dead criminal is the hero. People have their priorities jacked up, that's for sure.

so that's what is is now? michael brown is a hero and the cop is a villain. so basic. but it sounds like something that someone who watches news channels that operate like daytime soaps would say.

there's no "hero" that's for damn sure.

Maybe hero is not the right word. How about martyr? He's definitely not being portrayed as the criminal that he was.

yeah, i don't think he fits that bill either. maybe he's not being portrayed as 'the criminal that he was' because he was never charged with a crime. derp
