Duh. If 73% of the children population is white, then of course when comparing numbers white children will have greater numbers in single parent homes. However, when making a fair comparison using percentage as population, well you know the rest.

Using your numbers I have 1 in 5 chance of drawing a rotten apple when choosing from the basket of red apples. Because if you look at the white population, 21% living in single parent households is just as bad as the 51% of blacks. So they want people to stop at the black number and look no further. This means there are just as many white single baby mommas as blacks and they don't want people to recognize this.

The claim was that most children in single parent households are black. That is not true. Plain and simple. Is it a bigger issue - proportionately speaking - for the black community? Sure, but that is not the claim that was made.

Too many dark hands there. Most people that receive government assistance (SNAP/TANF) are actually white. Given that, it's rather odd that there are no white hands in the picture.
