Worst part of the year. November - March. "You're Canadian, you must feel right at home!"

No. It's effing cold. I want to die.

Wifey gets the same bs and she's from the southern part of Windsor just over the Detroit River.

I'm just glad I don't live in Buffalo right now. 4 feet of snow so far this week with 2 more coming by Friday. No thank you!

Ah, the obligatory "it's cold today so there can be no global warming" thread. Excellent!

I thought the 32 in every state thing was neat little fact of the day. I threw in the global warming thing just to get your blood going this morning..

You're in the wrong spot if you want to die 5 months out of the year. Do yourself a favor and find a place that offers a climate more to your liking. July and August can be challenging here but for the rest of the year, it's pretty nice. November through April - in some years even October through May - is outright gorgeous.

I was very close to moving to Sarasota when I was in my 20's but second guessed myself and stayed up here. I've been kicking myself in the butt ever since.

Sarasota is nice - that's where we usually end up when the beach is calling. Lido Beach on St. Armands key is the place to go.

Good dining on St. Armands circle, too.

That's funny. I went out with my husband the other night to an outdoor festival. He insisted I bring a sweater saying "just because you're canadian doesn't mean you won't get cold!"

Good thinking. There's nothing like boiling blood when it's cold outside.

I don't agree with a lot of the Global Warming hysteria. I do think lowering pollution and taking care of the planet is a great idea. I think there is some evidance both sides way overstate or minimize the issue.

either way I am smart enough to understand one bump on a chart does not a trend make
