That really sucks! So did they let you in after you dropped everything off, or not at all?

My fiance and I have travelled back and forth at least 3 times since being engaged, and haven't had any problems. I just tell them I am visiting my boyfriend instead of fiance and they just crack jokes about internet dating and what ever. I've never been asked for extra documentation or anything. My passport is not officially tied to our I129f, so it's not like they will scan it and see that my fiance applied for K1. I just slip my ring off for talking to the guard, and then put it back on when I am done.

It's one of those small "lies" that really make my life a lot easier. I am honest in that I am visiting my significant other, and really don't have any intentions to get married or stay in the US until I get my K1 Visa, so I don't feel the need to make them suspicious.

I understand though, that this is not necessarily your situation, Rhaenerys, and that most of the issues were raised when they saw how much stuff you were bringing in.

We dropped off all of the stuff at my house and tried to cross again about 24 hours later, at a different crossing. We got through the border the second time with no problems (and amost no stuff), so maybe that guy was just having a bad day. But I think I'm going to cut down on my visits!

My passoport is the one tied to the I-129F, so no hiding that! My fiance will just have to come to me more often until this is done.

I need to start checking the mail for my letter every day, as you guys are getting them! I think I'll call NVC this week as well. 8 am EST is so early....

I think they are open until Midnight EST also and people have reported success later in the evening also. might be a better option :)

From my understanding you receive the ARN on the NOA2. I only know that our ARN changed because I randomly called the automatic hotline in early December and it said the last time it was touched was to change the ARN.

Although it's not tied to our immigration journey/NOA2 (I sadly hope for a notification once I look at the mail...even though I know it's not happening), I'm excited to say that I booked a quick trip to Morocco in February over Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend! So excited :dancing::wub:

Hoping for an easy trip through Moroccan customs!

ha... we will see. The last time I went through customs I actually had the same officer (arrival & departure) who remembered how clueless I was and realized it was my first time in the country (thankfully he took pity on me). I'm SO used to UK/EU customs who don't question why I'm traveling :)

Very exciting about you and Peter!

Quick question - I'm taking the opportunity on my trip to provide some of the original items my SO will need once it comes time for his interview. Just read the guide and it looks like the only item that needs an original signature is the second intent to marry letter. I also just got my 2014 W2 so I'll give that and my last tax return to him while I'm there.

Is there any other item I'm missing that he would need an original of once he gets to the interview? Don't think so, but want to check.

NVC is indeed open until 12 EST but they must stop taking calls at about 11:30. I called 17 times last night between 10:30 and 11:30 EST and it was busy the first 16 times, and then I got through and the recording told me I couldnt inquite about immigration until 5 AM EST the next day. Guess I'll get up at 5 on Friday and try again.
