In other news, has anyone else noticed that their VJ timeline prediction of when their petition will be approved keeps changing? Mine is pushed back a day or two every time I look :crying:

It's based on the timelines that people are putting into their VJ account. As new information is provided, an algorithm recalcs the averages. I've seen the estimate is way out of wack so I wouldn't use it to estimate your approval date. Expedited Filipino packages from a couple months back affect the data.

My advice, use the current approvals forum or look at the July August filers forum, they update their NOA2 receipts on a regular basis.

I got a question guys, let me know if I'm reading it correctly. Checked my case file on the USCIS site and this was the message I saw:

"On November 20, 2014, we approved your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxx. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your approval notice by December 20, 2014, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

I don't want to prematurely get my hopes up, but does this mean my NOA2 should be on the way?

WOW Congratulations!

These fast late October NOA2s are killing me...we were planning to submit then but then didn't finish the package before I had to fly home. (Just short some passport photos really). So we filed 3 weeks later and now I am stuck waiting for my NOA1 (Package delivered Wednesday so it should be any day now). But they've got me playing the "what if" game so bad...I wish we just got it done then!!!

I have a question too: when i check the status on uscis site, even if we received our hard copy of NOA1 the status is still "case was received". Is it supposed to be different? And i've read about the changing of the ARN, but i dunno exactly what it is.

Yes I think it should still be the same- at some point you will be assigned an ARN (alien registration number) and I believe you will receive an update online stating this. I don't think the fact it hasn't happened yet is anything to worry about don't worry  we haven't received ours yet either.

Dallas is the PO box I think, PO boxes aren't cleared every day if my knowledge of the postal service is up to date.
