NOA2 Oct 1st and still no info :( they don't return our emails and we couldn't get in contact with them through phone :( really annoying!

My fiancée Emilia and I met in October 2009 in Wrocław, Poland while I was doing “study abroad” after graduating High School in California. We started dating in the beginning of December 2009. In September of 2010, I went back to Poland to start a full time study program at the University of Arts in Poznań. I decided to study in Poland because I wanted to be close to Emilia. In October of 2012, Emilia decided to move to Poznań to live with me.

NOA2 Oct 1st and still no info :( they don't return our emails and we couldn't get in contact with them through phone :( really annoying!

My first time I tried to call NVC I had to hit redial 155 and then stay on hold for over an hour to be told no it had not arrived. Personally I never tried to email them but was told it was a waste of time.

Second time I had to hit redial about 75 times over a couple of hours and then I was on hold, I was at home and put my phone on speaker, I completely sanitized my bathroom while I waited.

Also I tried at 0700 and got right through and was on hold 20 minutes,

It is hit or miss, just keep trying and be prepared to hit redial for a while and then to wait.

In the mean time i highly suggest you start to gather documents you will need to send to the beneficiary, complete the online ds160( do not submit until you have the new case number just simply save it is good for 30 days after each save)

I see so many people here at a panic once NVC approves their case, is why I am saying this.

We received our NOA2 on October 8, 2014. On October 29, 2014 I received an email from the US Embassy in Stockholm that they have received our approved petition from the NVC and instructions/checklist for the next steps. Hooray! On Saturday Nov 1, 2014 I received a letter from the NVC that they have sent my petition to the US Embassy in Stockholm. Great news but I already knew that because of the email from the Embassy. We are Skyping with our lawyer this week to review our next steps and move forward with scheduling the medical exam and interview. Hang in their everyone, sometimes it looks like things just happen and not necessarily in order. Then enjoy the happy surprises like the Embassy email as we did. :goofy:

We got our NOA2 on October 23. My fiancé called today and had to redial almost 30 times. He was on hold for 40 minutes and was told that they haven't received it yet. He asked if he should call after a couple of days and the operator said yes. He will call again on Thursday so it will be exactly 2 weeks. If it's still not there(hopefully it's there though), he'll call next week.

In the mean time i highly suggest you start to gather documents you will need to send to the beneficiary, complete the online ds160( do not submit until you have the new case number just simply save it is good for 30 days after each save)

Thank you for your suggestion about the DS160. :)

Yes I did the DS160 by chance after reading others had done so. I completed everything I could and used dummy information where I did not know the answer. Had my fiancée log into it and go over it, she filled in what she could, then we both went in about once a week and read over it making sure every T was crossed and every i was dotted. She corrected my spelling of a few cities in the Philippines and Israel. And I went over her English spelling God knows we have many words pronounced the same but spelled differently and with different meanings.

Each time we saved it, it said this document will be saved for 30 days, so if you go in periodically and review and then save at the end. It will stay good for a long time.

Also supporting documents can take a while to gather, if you start early getting things like last years 1040 and W-2 it will help as well.

Best to ya

I would not sweat the RFE for wrong size passport photo's. A lot of countries use a size 1/2 of what the U.S. does. I can see that being an easy mistake to make.

Btw congrats, i hope the rest goes Quickly
