Consulate Review: Warsaw, Poland
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 17, 2015
Embassy Review : We got to the embassy at 8:10, although our interview time was 8:30. There were plenty of ppl waiting outside (they had their interview scheduled at 8 or 8:15). We got inside in 10 mins. Cleared the security, we were asked what type of visa we are getting. Emilia got a sticker with her TNT tracking number and we were asked to go get a number and wait in line. After getting a number Emilia was asked to hand in all documents ( ds160, birth certificate, affidavit, photos etc). Then we had to wait again. After 15 mins Emilia had to go get her finger prints scan in. This is the last step before the actual interview with the CO. We had to wait about 30mins. The consular section was full of people, mainly getting their tourist visas, for the immigrant section there were maybe 10-15 ppl. We were siting right in front of the windows were the interviews take place, so we were able to see that the CO took our documents and was looking at them. He smirked at one of our photos - good sign we though 5 mins later our number was called out so we went to the window. We had no problems taking the interview together. The co just asked me (Emilia) if it was Taylor standing next to me I had to swear to tell the truth, he verified Emilias finger prints and then the interview started. The guy asked when and how we meet, if I was in the us, what Taylor is doing in Poland, what we are planning to do in USA, what studies did we finish. And that's it! He cancelled my tourist visa and said congratulations you were approved!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
