I just sent letter to embassy, I asked earlier date for my interview. Fingers crossed! Please, wish me good luck :/ I'm so nervous...

No. The K1's do it because they need to let the embassy know when they are ready . Many of the embassies handle K1'a different some send in their forms and such and the embassy then allows scheduling of interview some bring everything to embassy and need to let embassy know they are ready. IR1/CR1 do not need to. You are ready when NVC schedules you. The embassy is assuming you will get medical and be ready at the appointed time since that's all you have to do is a medical.

Has anyone purchased flights for POE yet? I'm on the fence with if I should by now or wait unitl after the interview.

Check the airline policies, for example if you fly with British Airways, you can always change your flight for a small fee (couple hundred dollars) If you wait to book a flight you could be looking at a lot more, especially being the holidays.

Got interview package today by mail for dec 12 interview,hv Scheduled an appointment for biometrics on 11th through embassy web -ustraveldocs.com/in (selected document delivery location as well) and of course i have booked the flight ticket and hotel etc lol ...now preparing for the interview (reading interview reviews)... :idea:

Yes its normal. NVC has no idea what each countries physicians are.

I just recieved the p4 letter by email.my interview Will be december 18

But In the letter theres No list of physicians.is it normal?

Hope all th rest of you get their interview soon

Upon receiving this letter, all eligible applicants must prepare for the visa interview by visiting our website :
http://nvc.state/gov/interview (select your embassy eg : south & central Asia - India-mumbai-visas-immigrant visas
) and completing the following six steps before the interview date:
Pls go through it.there u can find;
1.Notice to Immigrant Visa Applicants
2.Steps to create profile and select your pick-up location- to arrange for the delivery of their passport and visa
3.Medical examination guidelines including list of panel physicians/vaccination details
4.Information regarding documents to be carried for interview
​5.biomentrics guidelines if applicable (required for india)
