hello everybody

i just received a mail today that says your permanent status has been approved and you should receive the new card in the mail within 60 days. I was wondering is any of you received that mail before the card ? And 60 days is such a long time. I was thinking i would get the new car in couple days after the approve date.

approve date: 09/22/15

anyone has any idea how long does it take to get the new card ?

Tercu, usually they approve you first, then they start the card production, then they mail you the card and normally it takes an average 10 days from the moment you were approved to the moment you receive your card in mail.

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

2nd Biometric Feb 11, 2015 9 ( because the machine didnt read/scan clearly my finger)

Aug 21, 2015, received RFE to submit police clearance due to unclassifiable case (fingerprinting didnt work good)

Aug 28, 2015 USCIS received the documents for RFE

My question is, its been a month since they received the documents they asked for the RFE, can I submit a case inquiry about my status. Even I got an RFE, the case status online didnt change, still " on dec blah...blah...blah...we received your case blah blah blah.

They never change status. my status still showing on december blah blah...status will be changed once they approve it. good luck

NOA 1 - Dec 8, 2014

Biometric - Jan 16, 2015 ( got a problem on finger printing)

2nd Biometric Feb 11, 2015 9 ( because the machine didnt read/scan clearly my finger)

Aug 21, 2015, received RFE to submit police clearance due to unclassifiable case (fingerprinting didnt work good)

Aug 28, 2015 USCIS received the documents for RFE

My question is, its been a month since they received the documents they asked for the RFE, can I submit a case inquiry about my status. Even I got an RFE, the case status online didnt change, still " on dec blah...blah...blah...we received your case blah blah blah.

Yes you can submit a service request since your case is out of normal processing times. According to the website they should have all cases up to Jan 3rd completed, since yours is not completed go ahead and submit the request.

P.S. spring333 I cannot believe you guys are still waiting.
