$219 for free forms! and cant file until 21?

ok so someone I know just got married and she is starting her process but I gave her this website and USCIS.gov site for any questions she had but of course she is still asking me which is fine... so she calls me yesterday just starting to fill out her I-130 form and she says its $219 and wanted to make sure that fee was correct...WAIT WHAT?? I said.. I said why are you paying for the forms! their free what site are you on.. she said USCIS site..i think its maybe a false site that has the same letters to scam ppl..anyway I told her to hurry and leave that site. gave her the right site and get the forms for free.. she did but she already had put her email and phone number in that site even though she didn't finish the payment. the lady calls her today asking her for her payment , she tell her she made a mistake and found the right site and the lady said your 18 you cant bring him here until your 21... is that correct? I know the site is scam site for the payment of forms but she is ok bringing him over at her age of 18 right?

lol yes I know there is a $420 fee to file , no she was told that she had to pay 219 just to download the I-130 FORM I knew that was a scam for real but she was just worried about her age..i told her she can be 18 but she just wanted to be sure...

You should haver her report that site to USCIS I'm sure other less knowledgeable people fell into those scammers trap. Sad and sick how people take advantage.

Yea someone came on here think last week but they already paid , that site is getting thousands of dollars I am sure of it because when someone doesn't know anything and someone tells them uscis site that what they Google and this scam site it among the real one . We still have the number the Lady called from and gonna report it

I keep trying to find the fake website and can't.

Uscis.com not .gov it takes you to this site and you hit immigration forms and it has a bunch of links and the forms is highlited in yellow so of course you think that's the one it takes you to this immigration site and you have to create an account and pay . I believe that's how they are getting ppl the site looks legit but if you google uscis the right site comes up but if You just go to

Your browser and type www.uscis.com the fake comes up . People automatically

Think of .com instead of .gov i guess ..

That's why I can't understand, but then I guess if english is a second (or third etc) language, maybe that's getting lost.

The process is already hectic and insane and adding more fees and headaches just not right.

I dont know about anyone else but when I install software or read the TOS of a website i usually hit next next next... I CBA reading fine print unless requested by my company or if its for a loan/mortgage etc... Im sure im not the only one who hits next next next... much less read the bottom of a website with tiny font that says this is not a government website.

Either way i feel like they should be taken down specially since they are charging for free forms, if they were assisting people in filling out the forms that's another matter.

yea same here... I don't read anything ( I don't think its just me either) and to tell the truth I have never read the bottom of a website... never...and for some strange reason even talking about this now I still haven't read the bottom of this website :blink::blink: :blink: lol

but crazy to get ppl to pay you $219 for just downloading a form is beyond me. and a lot of ppl don't have the help like here on this site..my friend was helping me so I thought but she forget almost everything so I was just googling stuff and found this site...but it was after I sent my stuff off :oops::oops: , so wish I had this before hand but anyways I probably would of gotten scammed to...shame
