AOS and IV documents sent in one package 15 SEP I hope I don't get a check list if that happens then it will mess everything up as I am supposed to deploy soon....so I guess we will see. Such a frustrating process. I can only imagine how those that have waited longer feel. Mad, angry and sad almost every emotion possible.

Waiting is not fun. Going into my 7th months at NVC they killing me slowly :(

It sucks but on the bright side we really learn a lot from it. And we learn about our other half as well. I meant to say my scan date was 15 sep.

My packages were sent electronically on Oct 3rd and I only got my confirmation email 3 days ago.... Slow, slow, slow....

Ok now I feel a little better. My wife submitted our final IV supporting documents on Oct 12 by email. Still haven't gotten any confirmation. I was worried so I called NVC just to make sure at least they were in the system, but the lady said they had no record. And there was no way to tell. Other than to resubmit everything as a backup. I am assuming by the end of next week at least we will get a confirmation email. Kanuk, what is the scan date on your email is it Oct 3 or Oct 20? I can't bear to wait another 17 days. This process has been 1 step forward 2 steps back from day 1 . Good luck to all

Here is the direct wording on my confirmation email:

22-OCT-14

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 03-OCT-14.

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received.

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents.

We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.

Hope that helps....

Trust, but verify!

Does anyone know if NVC has the day off on Veterans Day (Nov. 11, 2014)? Not everyone has it off but they might. Thanks!

Yes. If it's a federal holiday, they'll have it off. You can always Google 'US federal holidays' to check which holidays they'll have off.

So, there's 2 in November and 1 more in December.

I'm not sure because some people were given different dates than what is on the email. Hopefully someone else responds. When did you send in your docs? When did you receive the email?

Docs sent 10 September. E-mail received 16 Sep with confirmed date of receipt of documents 15 Sep

I have a question is NVC taking 60 days from the day they scan the AOS? Because I received two letters one for the AOS & one for the IV that it takes 60 days each.
