Was it within or beyond 60 days? My worry is that it says "at least" 60 days, which means they can do whatever they want I suppose. I was just hoping to see if there was any kind of trend with it. They received our documents (everything) August 8th, so we're looking at around October 7th for 60 days.

Yes I to got a letter saying 60 days but we got approved right on the 60 day. I just keep calling them when the date got closer. Sometimes they are nice and will let you know. Good luck

Many people have gotten an interview but interviews are NOT based off of this 60 day letter, but rather when the consulate or embassy has an opening. When you get a case complete, generally Montreal will give interview dates in the first 2 weeks of the month. So if you have a case complete from the middle to end of the month (lets say Oct 15-31) you'd get an interview date the month after next (Dec). But if you get on early n the month (Oct 1- 14) you generally get one late the month after (Nov.) Clear as mud?

This is the most informative bit of info about this I have gotten yet. I grilled our lawyer so much just to give us some "estimates" and they can't do that. I did know that the interview would be some time after the case complete, so I'll just hope that they do that within the 60 days (which would be October 8th) so that we have a better chance of having a November interview! Thank you!!!

It would be late November at earliest or early December at latest (generally speaking.) :)

We got the 60 day notice. They received our paperwork on July 10th and we got our case complete on September 3rd. We have an interview scheduled in Montreal for October 23.

That's right on the money for the interview. :) Glad to know Montreal is still fairly predictable. :D

yes i have received this letter from the NVC. I filed a CR1 case on 08/13/2013. its been a slow death ever since. every thing is going so slow. USCIS took 6+ months to approve the case, and any time i call NVC they say it may take up to 60 days just to review the damn paper work.

Hi VJ,

When I contact NVC they said 60 days to review documents. Yet have not received any notice on 60 days wait. The question is the count down begins when? The date payments were made (9/5), the date DS-260 form completed online (9/10) or the date AOS/IV package was received by NVC (9/25). Our lawyer just indicates 60-90 days. :clock:
