Hi! I was wondering when you get a RFE do you need to send the required evidence to the sane address as the application? The chicago lockbox? Or is it already at a local uscis office your application? Is it the office where you have your biometrics? I wanna sent in some more evidence of joint accounts and such in order to hopefully get an interview waiver. Thank you so much!

You send the required evidence to the address on your RFE notice!

No it's not the same address as the application and not the local USCIS office either. The address I have to send my RFE response to is US Department of Homeland Security PO Box 648004, Lee's Summit, MO 64002. I don't know if you can send more evidence there if you haven't got a RFE though.

Also including more evidence does not grant you an interview waiver letter. Most most marriage petitions, with the exception of K1 visas and a few others, receive interview letters. Including more evidence only validates your marriage.

RFEs are evidence that uscis request from you. You can not forward more evidence voluntary. You can retain more evidence until the day of your interview.

You can't answer a RFE that you don't have. Sending more evidence won't make you avoid an interview. Chances of not getting and interview from K1 visas won't depend on how many joints accounts you have or pictures, we all have the same....... If they send you interview letter then bring all the extra you have and there will be less questions. Anyways they won't ask anything weird more than about your marriage and about you two if it's legit there is nothing to worry about.

hello everyone. i too is a september filer and I've been reading and following all your post and your answers, i just haven't had the chance to post anything and this will be my first. this is my story...

Im a transgender woman (Male to Female) holding a student visa but is married now to an American citizen ( yes its now legal for same sex marriage in california). at first i have doubts if ill be receiving the same procedure/process with the green card application as with the heterosexual marriage knowing that in my birth certificate and all my legal documents says MALE but my CA drivers license is now a FEMALE since I've been undergoing hormone replacement therapy but after researching and reading different blogs and post and consulting an LGBT immigration attorney, WE now have equal rights when it comes to Green card Application which made me very excited. We got married Feb of this year and been very happy ever since but we didn't get the chance to submit my paperworks because of his Income tax returns, he owns his own business and have a very bad history with it, he haven't filed his taxes since 2010 because of the bad economy. after knowing this i felt like the chances of me getting a green card is vague but then again i never lost hope. i did my research and ask my lawyer friend is also an LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) advocate on what should we do and she said not to worry because all we need is a JOINT sponsor, after that i was so relieved and i immediately asked my sister who is working as a nurse and also an american citizen to be my joint sponsor and she said without hesitance YES. so after that i gathered all my paperworks, did my physical exam, filled up necessary paperworks and then finally after everything is done and after we saved the money for the application we finally sent and this is my time line

so right now I'm patiently waiting for my EAD and AP.. i never thought that this process would be smooth sailing and so far they never did request for any evidence at all. so I'm hoping everyone will all get their green card soon and lets all live our american dream :dancing::dancing::idea:

Welcome!!!! My husband also has some taxes issues from the past, he has been working on it with lawyers for the past year... and his dad was our joint sponsor, so good your sister was able to do it too!!! :)

I see your process is going very fast, mine was too and now stuck with no more news since September 30 :clock:

Wish you good luck with your EAD
