Thanks! Thats what I plan to do, however how do I know for sure my petition is at my embassy? I thought I'd need to track the documents sent to my embassy the following week of my CC, however you said the documents do not get shipped until the interview is scheduled, so in this case they will ship the documents this week to corresponding embassies?

Also There is an interview schedule page on embassy website, although it isnt updated yet (Aug 20th last update), I wonder if that could be an indicator of my documents being there?

look at first post it tells you how to track. But first you will need to know when they shipped it. As far as your embassy website every embassy publishes interview dates and such different some do not do it at all so I have no idea.

I would tell everyone that got interviews today give it until Friday. They usually send out packages on Mondays and Fridays. Also instead of stressin over the DHL tracking just watch the Visa Tracker it will change to In-transit. Then Ready.

No, our lawyer said she gave us everything. I asked her about needing copies, and she said "why would they need copies when they have the originals?? They will photocopy them if they need to". Which sounds reasonable.. for anything but immigration! Should I be worried?

Ok so my interview is coming up soon, and I am starting to get nervous. Here's the thing that I am most nervous about...

We used a lawyer. Our lawyer assured us that she would provide us with everything we need. She took all of our civil documents (originals) and sent them to the NVC. She gave us all of our other material back, but did not give us copies of our civil documents. I've read as many reviews on the Montreal Consulate as I can, and everyone says that they go there with copies of everything to hand to them.

Is this going to be a big deal? I certainly don't have time now to get originals of everything again!!!

I see no issue. Anything you submitted to NVC you don;t have to have at interview. Your embassy is very low fraud just have a few things that make you feel more confident. I sure wouldn't stress it.

Our interview is this Friday, quick question for the group:

I got a raise recently. Is it better to just leave things the way they are or should I give my husband a new I-864 to reflect the increase in salary to turn in at the interview?

Obviously the NVC accepted the packet the way it was, but our case is a little complicated since I'm petitioning four kids and even after the raise my salary is a few hundred short the poverty guidelines for our huge combined family. My husband did file the I-864A and added his income in which put us well over...but his job is commissions-based and his most recent paychecks have fluctuated WILDLY. I don't know what would be a safer bet, stick with what we have or submit the new employment letter and forms to show the few thou increase. Has anyone heard of anyone submitting a new affidavit of support at the interview?

Unfortunately the embassy gets final say. NVC doesn't approve anything. They just looking to make sure you filled out the forms right and everything is cool. They are just a document gathering facility.

Well since you and husband are bringing kids over that might be okay. But yes you have to update your I-864.

And yes people take updated I-864 all the time. You are suppose to update whenever there is a job, salary, address change. So yes I would do it. Hope it works out okay.

I do not think that would be a problem, I think they ask to bring copies to save time during the interview.

I just thought lawyers usually make copies of all documents that leave their office. At least my lawyer sent me copy of the whole package she sent to USCIS and she kept one copy for her own file.

Hi dwheels76,

I noticed that I am in the spreadsheet twice. Sorry about that. Originally I thought my Case was closed July 29 when I got my email but when I called it was actually July 22. So I have a July 22 and July 29th entry. The July 22nd one is correct.

I am still so angry at the NVC for giving me such a late interview date, they clearly give interview dates out of order from what i see , cant do nothing about it about yet, waiting for my case to arrive at the Embassy, how long does it take for the interview letter to arrive ? looks like my case is still at the NVC, they sent out cases on Mondays and Fridays? i'll try to contacted them once they received my package *sigh*, i really wanted to be with my husband before my Birthday and Halloween

Basically the interviewer looked at all our pictures, we had about 120, wife said she looked at every single one even mentiioning places we went to. Even knew the mayor who came to our wedding.

Basically she was asked these questions.

Her name , my name etc.

What does your husband do?

How did you guys meet?

Was it love or arranged?

Thats all that the questions she told me she was asked after which She gave her a white paper and said to pick up the passport at the date and time given.

she did speak about the places we went to which she saw in the pictures she was flipping through. She said the lady was really nice etc and for a white lady spoke bangali very well.
