I would say just send in the IV package alone.

Those new rules don't seem to be in effect yet, and it doesn't look like they apply to people who are already in the middle of their NVC process. More likely the new rules will start applying later in the month when the fees go up, for new NVC filers. So send just IV package.

Thanks for the quick response!!

Yeah, I think so too. Okay, so I should send only the IV docs then... I noticed NVC address on cover sheet shows ATN:CMR. Should I leave it like that or should I change it to ATN:DR

Thanks so much!!! ?

You don't need to send another AOS package unless you feel you made an error with the initial AOS package you sent before. Have only seen one Vjer having both packages reviewed together. Am still on the look out to see more vjers that will get their packages reviewed together.

Personally I won't send another AOS package.

Yeah I think I should send only the IV package. Thanks! :) Edited by NKrishMT

NVC is all over the place. This person told me 60 days for the DS 261 to be reviewed. That's fine, I asked him should I follow the new or the old process, he said new process and I should wait to send my AOS and IV package together

So I told him if I should follow the new process then shouldn't the fees be available in 15 days? He said no for the fees the timing can slightly fluctuate due to work load. Slightly...

But he insisted I send both packages together and wait for the other fees first.

Yesterday someone at NVC told me to send them together but not wait for the fees.

NVC is such a circus.

Maybe they didn't expect me to wake up early, but sending me this IV invoice without updating CEAC is killing me now. Way to get my hopes up just to have to sit and wait for however many hours longer.

Editing to add: my invoice says September 5th even. It's so wrong that it's hilarious. I'm impatient.

Congratulations, delayed by a checklist? And that's a little progress there, now NVC is on July 18 scan date.

Yes, we received a checklist on July 8 so had to wait the standard 30 business days which increased to 60 days.

Hi Everyone,

I hope that we can get some constructive feedback on a proposal I'd like to make. Firstly, I'm very happy that VJ has provided a lot of support for all of us - both emotionally and also practically in terms of asking and answering questions.

However, I am having some difficulties following this thread. I check this forum everyday and sometimes I even spend more than an hour reading everyone's comments. I understand that many of us use this form as a way to keep our spirits up and to feel some sense of belonging in what is increasingly becoming an insane process. We are at a rate of 10 new pages per day (it's 9 Sept 2014 and we already have 100 pages). I try to limit my comments to only questions or answers that I am sure about.

I suggest that in order to clarify things a bit more, we could create at least two-three forums each month. I would envision something along the lines of:

NVC Filers October 2014 - Q/A

I've certainly had a lot of questions and often asking them in this thread is difficult because of the rate at which the thread moves - not everyone sees the question and it's hard to see other's questions. This could be a general Q/A form about the NVC process or it could be refined to only talk about questions post-submission to NVC. I have asked questions in this thread when I read something new (ex. I realized I sent my documents in with the AGI instead of Gross Income and am now resubmitting AOS) but it's hard to see all the questions or doubts others have written - it gets lost in all of the pages.

NVC Filers October 2014 - NVC Communication Updates

This could be the main forum where we can catalog the communication we have with NVC, ex. information we receive after calling NVC, information received by email/text from NVC (60 days notification, CC, information abou the "new process," etc), advice about when/how to call NVC, etc. Then main idea here is that we give updates about what we've heard about our case from NVC. We wouldn't need to have any questions about the NVC process here - just updates about where our case is and if we've learned anything new. I imagine this thread could be the "main thread" where we can see what's new with NVC processing.

(and maybe even)

NVC Filers October 2014 - Moral Support

This could be the thread where we can go to vent a little and try to find some moral support among our peers. I don't envision this thread having much content regarding the communication with NVC or having any questions about whether to re-submit, how to correctly address the packages, etc. This would purely be therapy for all of us!

Let me know what you think about this idea and about how the thread is progressing overall.

Take care and best of luck to all of us!

As I mentioned in a previous month, more than half the posts here seem to fit into that third category of 'moral support' (and venting). I've suggested a separate thread in the past.

The whole intention of these monthly threads is to post questions and progress. And if people actually READ what was provided, it'd cut down at least half the amount of questions (this includes the questions asking for scan dates when it's right in the person's signature!).

But alas, I don't think anything will change...

So sorry to hear your news. Our checklist was for the same thing. Except, my adjusted and total is the same number, so I have no idea what my lawyers put initially. I just know it's right now that I looked at the corrected copy. So very frustrating, hang in there!

I'm so very sorry this happened to you and boy can I understand her saddness poor baby I feel her pain. I want to believe there is a reason for this that if this hadn't happened you would have gotten a horrible CO and put in AP but since this happened you wont. :DI know a stretch but one that keeps the hair on my head. :D I'll be praying all goes smoothly and quickly after this.

God bless you both and try to stay strong.

I feel for you, you're the second one today who got a checklist because of a lawyer. NVC seriously needs to put checklists on a priority. I heard checklists sent in by lawyers get reviewed faster, don't know how much truth there's to it. Let us know what happens.

Thanks for the kind words of support. I'm so appreciative of the VJ forum and community. It's easier knowing we are all in this together and that there are others who understand the stress of this process. Most of the people we know don't really understand.

I will certainly keep everyone posted on the checklist turn around time. I was so upset I was planning on submitting the corrected AOS myself, but I've decided to let the lawyer clean up his own mess (with my close review of course). If I think things moved any quicker by letting the attorney answer the checklist I will be sure to post that.
