I had my citizenship interview last Aug. 4, 2014 here in Honolulu, HI. The interview went well. The IO ask me to sign this paper with my new name, but I didn't remember him asking me to sign my 2 passport photos. Does anyone knows if this is the reason of the delay for my oath taking? What should I do?

Sometimes they just take a while

For example, I have been waiting since September 2013 for my oath. You can try to contact USCIS or make an infopass apt, but they generally won't deal with your concerns until it has been 90 days

good luck

Did the status got updated to Oath Scheduling Queue?

I don't know. I only have this letter congratulating me, saying my application has been recommended for approval. That if final approval is granted, I will be notified to report for the oath taking. The thing is, I didn't sign my 2 passpost photos so I am thinking maybe this is the reason of the delay for processing.

Generally, I see that the status gets updated to Oath Queue after the interview. I would suggest that you call customer service and inform the same.

I'm not sure why you think there's a delay.

Read the timelines of other people on this website.

A wait of a few weeks or a few months between interview and oath is very normal depending on where your local office is.

See if you can find out how often they hold naturalization ceremonies. If it's only once a month or every couple of months, you may not be scheduled for a few weeks. If it's daily or weekly, then give them a call.

I am thinking there's a delay because I didn't sign my 2 passport size photos. Is this really necessary? By any chance, is it possible to sign my photos at the Oath taking ceremony?

I don't think you should worry about that at all.

I don't know this first hand, but I've read that they don't even use the photos you send in with the application, but instead use the digital photos that were taken when you went in for biometrics.

Doubt that has anything to do with it, they would have said something at your interview. It's only been 3 weeks since your interview, I don;t know what the normal timeframe for Hawaii interview to oath is but you could check the forums. Perhaps they wait until a large enough group can have their oaths done together.

You're not outside any kind of service window so sit tight and check your case status online

Hi.

I am a N-400 December 2013 filer.

I had my interview for naturalization on July 21st (26 Federal Plaza - Manhattan - New York City), and I was recommended for aprroval. Since then I did not receive any new information.

Somebody is in the same situation?

I will appreciate any information that can tell me what's going on New York City District.

Thanks.

There are persons who filed in March 2014 who have had their interview at Federal Plaza and subsequently had their oath ceremony. New York City has a oath ceremony every Friday.
