Hey guys, I have a recent update on my case, finally!!!!! I have been inline for an interview since May 15! Now, how long will I receive the notice in the mail after the online case update?

On January 12, 2015, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC*****. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Our interviews got scheduled on the same day, so there's a chance that they will be held on the same day.. The week of Feb 16 I expect :)

Interview completed successfully. Got there from 6 AM but wasn't allowed to check in till later. Got through at about 7:30 AM. They said it been years since they did same day ceremony. Pretty much it is not done there any more.

Was only asked three questions:

  • If the president and vice president can no longer serve, who takes over ? Speaker of the House
  • What does the President advisory board do? Advice the president
  • Who vetoes the bills? The President

Asked to read what day does Columbus day falls on and also write it.

Hi how long does the oath ceremony last?

From my experience approximately 2 hrs, the ceremony itself is about 30 minutes but with the pre-ceremony stuff and picture taking after the ceremony, I spent about 2 hrs.
