Qualifying assets for intending immigrant

Does anyone know what assets are qualified for the 1-864? I was originally going to have a joint-sponsor since I don't work nor have assets of my own, but I read that the beneficiary can use certain assets to fulfill the income requirement. My husband has a professional license which he intends to sell when we get the visa and move. Does anyone know if we could use this as evidence of adequate income on form?

Assets outside the USA are often not counted (it will depend on the embassy). Additionally, how can you sell a professional license, can you explain that? Is it tied to a ongoing business? The problem with it would be to prove its worth, and sale-ability.

In Greece there are private transportation sectors (taxi, trucks, etc), in order to own the vehicle and either operate it yourself or lease it out, you must buy a license. A few years ago before the economic crisis the cost for one was about 200,000 EUR. You probably won't get half of that in 2014, but you can still get a decent chunk of money. They're still being sold pretty regularly, so I guess we should have to find some way to verify the average sales prices, which to be honest I'm not sure how we'd get verification that would be adequate for the visa application. You would need an official value, is there somewhere to get actual sales prices in the same area ? The other way would be to sell it now and have the cash in hand.
