CR1-Visa to file Adjustment of Status

Hello! I have a CR-1 visa type (conditional-green card) in CALIFORNIA service Center.

After two years of marriage It's time to process my adjustment of Status;

changing from conditional to Permanent...

I already took my Biometrics. I guess my next step is an interview? Or appointment for approval?

So here's my concerns:

-has anyone here who had an interview before you got approved? Or no Interviews?

- how long should it take from biometrics to interview date?

- if you went for an interview, what are the usual interview questions?

If you have a conditional GC and are applying for your 10-year-GC, you are doing ROC (Removal of Conditions), not adjusting your status. As far as I know, most ROC cases do not get interviews. Processing times depend on your service center; California is pretty fast currently.

When filing Removal of Conditions, assuming you have sufficient evidence over the course of your marriage, you will most likely not have an interview. They do randomly select some for interviews anyway, but it's fairly rare.

If you DO have an interview because of a lack of sufficient evidence your interview questions will mostly likely be tailored to the areas they felt were lacking (for example, if you weren't living together they may ask you to explain why).

California Service Center is running quickly these days, for us it look about 50 days start to finish. If you're scheduled for an interview it will obviously be longer- the wait may depend on your local field office and how busy they are.
