My wife and I are tired of waiting to be able to move to the States, we are already married but have applied for the i129f as well as the i130f. We thought the i129f took a lot shorter time and could speed things up but it hasn't at all.

I'm looking at people's timelines and theres has been approved in like 70-90...

Shed any light? Cheers...

You might have longer to wait now. As long as the 129F / K1 visa is, it is significantly longer for married couples doing the K3. I would cancel the I-129F as it would be fraud to continue to get a non immigrant Visa because you are already married.

Sorry for the bad news.

It looks like you filed for the K-3 after filing the IR1/CR1. Chances are they're just going to be merged together,... as other people will undoubtedly tell you, K-3 is largely obsolete.

The good news is, by your timeline, it looks like you're a good chunk of the way through the wait.

K3, sorry I think this is in the wrong forum.

You think so? We are so ready to move...

IR1/CR1s seem to be running at a little over a year.

If they hadn't had the massive system crash recently, which seems to have set NVC back a month, it seems like you probably would have been contacted by now. If you look at your timeline, it estimates you should have heard by the end of July. I'd give til the end of August, and then contact the appropriate folks to see what's going on. But based on what people report here, you're probably looking at another few months, but nothing like the wait you've already had.

I think everyone here, no matter when they filed, can agree with you that we're all tired of waiting. My fiance wants to be here. I want her here. Yet we only filed at the start of this month. Waiting sucks.

As others have said, you aren't a candidate for an I-129F visa since you're already married. You need to use the I-130 visa. It takes longer, but I'm told it costs less. If you have two petitions going, you need to cancel the I-129F.

I filed for both in November when I was married. They approved both petitions and sent them to NVC. Currently the NVC is going with my I-130 petition. Either way it's taking a long time. I'm almost at the 1 year mark.

Incorrect. The I-129F is the proper form to use for the K-3 petition. It's just unlikely to be approved. (Some people, however, do still get them, through vagaries of NVC/chance.)

I am sorry you are waiting for so long. Just hang in there. I did the same thing you did and I was lucky enough that my I-129F petition for my spouse was approved before the I-130, I am taking the I-129F spouse route. Don't cancel your I-129-F petition as other people have suggested. Let it run and you may be lucky enough to get it approved as mine was, otherwise it will be administrative close if the I-130 petition get approved first. Mine took 7 months to be approved and my I-130 is still pending.

Sorry for the bad news.

No need to cancel it as it is not fraud. You can file the I-129F as fiance or spouse.

Incorrect, he can get the I-129F petition approved if he is married and it is independently process from each other. If the I-130 petition is approved first or at the same time that the I-129 was approved and sent to NVC, NVC will administratively close the I-129F petition and process the I-130. If the I-29F is approved first and it is routed to NVC and the I-130 is still pending, NVC will forward the approved I-129F petition to the US embassy.

We have been waiting a year for the K1 due to needing a waiver. Will be a year exactly this week.

However, Im pretty sure its about to be issued.....I think this week.

You can do it. Try to visit as much as possible.... it helps.....it gets easier for some and harder for others but you CAN do it.
