I swear if I see one more "Just be patient!" "Your time will come!" by someone who has been approved, I'm going to scream. I'm so tired of this. SO tired

Totally agree.

Totally agree.

Well that's all you can have is patience think of the ones who have no been transferred with a longer timeline than yours. Ours is 5 months one week no transfer but on a good note I have signed up for case status updates last I looked it was updated 9/9 so we are hoping an approval is getting close

It's not about lack of patcience, its because looks so condescending. And JFYI, I know we are lucky about the transfer but that dont minimize the waiting sickness and the frustration. So the best that people can do IMO its work in their timelines without rub in the another faces about their approval, that dont help a lot the people that feel depressed because the delays and the disorder in the process.

Regards.

I'm not usre I understand your question. If you are applying for the K-1 visa your intent is supposed to be to have your fiancé immigrate to the US. If you are planning to just get married and honeymoon in the US then leave and live and work in a different country there is no need for a K-1. You can get married here and honeymoon here on a tourist visa. If you get the K-1 and you intend to stay in the US and live here you must file AOS and your fiancé must remain in the US until granted AP/EAD card. But if you use the K-1 to get married/honeymoon, and then leave without filing AOD you must file 1-130 and AOS before your fiancé and return to immigrate to the US. I hope that helps a little. I know its a bit confusing, but basically if your intent is to immigrate no you can go back to SA right away and still need to have affidavit no matter the situation. IF there is no intent to immigrate now, there was no need to bother with the K-1 just come get married have you honeymoon and go home. Then when you are ready to immigrate permanently file 1-130 and 1-485 and wait that application out.

I just got off the phone with USCIS! I had not called regarding the email/text I received on 09/09/14 that my case was transferred because I was in hospital (my daughter was having her baby!!!), but now that things have settled I decided to go ahead and make the call this morning. I entered my SRC number into automated system and it told me as of August 11th I was transferred to the Mesquite Office in Texas. This left me even more confused as I thought I had been transferred to California on August 11th. I expected to hear California, however after speaking to an officer, she informed me that there is always glitches in the system and this was one of them. (the emails that were sent out AGAIN on 9/9) I know people had already posted this, but I wanted to know exactly where I had been transferred to since I never received an official document saying so. She wouldn't give me much information other than confirming that my file was in California. I have not hit my 5 month mark and won't until September 29th. so she said I could call back then and get further information. Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but at least I know where my file is at.

Hey, I got the same glitch last week. When I called, it also said I had been transferred to Mesquite. However, the level two office assured me that my case was in CA. She said it was a system error and to be patient.
