Sample answers??? How about the truth? Just tell them how you met. On the internet, at a bar on vacation. Through friends. The question is really pretty simple, say enough to supply a thorough answer without giving all the details.

I signed up at Cherry Blossoms and started talking to different people with the cherry blossoms instant messanger. After meeting my fiance there, we switched over to windows messanger. I also bought the visa support package from Cherry Blossoms and let them do everything, lol. A couple of months later, I was buying a plane ticket. And here I am.

Well, answering honestly was a given. What I want to know is if they want a "just state the facts" type answer or do people tend to add a little more of a personal touch to the answer.

i.e. We started talking vs. We talked for hours and had a great time.

I would stick to the facts. Mine was three or four sentences, tops. We met when I was there on a business trip, I went back for a visit, blah blah.

I tried to include exact dates that we visited eachother, or the day we met. They like dates - it sounds more ligitamite without having to give details about the trips.

Good luck

Sorry for misunderstanding your initial question. I always heard stick to the facts and if they need you to elaborate, they will tell you to.

Here is what I wrote... and we were approved:

To Whom It May Concern: Date:_______________

Veronica and I met online on Matchdoctor.com in April of 2005 , I flew to her the first time April 19th 2006 and stayed 13 days and I proposed to her at that time. I visited the second time August 13th to the 27th 14 days

and started filling out the visa paperwork at that time.

All doc’s and pictures are included of the two visits..

Also I stayed in her family’s home both visits..to save cost on my trips.

Our goal is to try to have Veronica here for Christmas 2006 if possible. I love her so much and want her with me through the Holidays.

Thank you,

Veronica made a comment maybe I should put something in about Xmas..So I did..more to please her and make her smile then to really have it happen..I pretty much knew the timeline..

Well the Xmas thing didn't happen but we are now within a month of Veronica from being here...Now..

I did a short 3-4 sentance thing to say we'd met at MSU and seen each other 6 times and then did an attachment that included a more detailed description of how we met (Paul studying abroad in the US), how many times we've seen each other (6) and the dates. It was 3 paragraphs long.

We kept it pretty short too, we dont remember the exact date we met online, just wrote that we met on an online game gave the name of the game and link (mainly cause we both can still be found on there) then wrote in the exact dates, places of when/where we met in person and how long he stayed and when he returned home.

How does it happen, Great love?... Noone knows.. But I what I do know is it happens in a blink of an eye. One minutes your happily living your life and the next your wondering how you ever lived without them.

Keep it simple but truthful. If the want more they will ask for it. My explanantion fit on the box on the form. Maybe 3-4 sentences is all I wrote.

We didnt actually write anything in that box except to refer to the attatched page. We wrote about 1/2 page with dates of when we first met, when we first got together, how we used to see each other everyweekend and the dates when I moved in with Jamal and when he moved back to the states. OK - it was kinda long - but at least they know the whole story and it wasnt just a case of 'how many times we met' as we didnt have a long distance relationship for over 2 years until now.
