No, of course I didn't walk in without a letter! I have been dealing with US immigration for 15 years now I am not clueless, LOL.

I have the letter but my appointment is for 8/28.

Yesss i did an early walk in succesfulll !!!!!! There were people there but the staff was verrryyy helpfull and they did not mind , did did not even ask questions they told me its no a problem ,

I reveives 2 letters ( and yes seperate) for my I485 and a seperate letter for I765 but the staff in the immigration center told me it should be one letter but sometimes its just two but she said it does not matter !!!

Noww waiting for my ead ?? Right ? Or does anything come before ead ?

Are you talking about NOA?

First you will receive thru email, text and hard copy letter are the NOA's that has your receipt number. Next letter you will receive is Appointment letter for Biometrics.

I got my biometrics appointment letter today, dated august 15th with appointment scheduled for September 2nd. I had some free time today, so decided to drive to my uscis(phoenix) to attempt a walk in. I got there at 3 pm and the building was empty. The security guards were very nice, they got my appointment letter and tried to find out if I can do my biometrics right then. Unfortunately I couldn't.. they said they do biometrics only on a scheduled date and then mumbled something about bar codes and having to send documents off to Washington( ???). Oh well, just going to have to wait..

Is anyone here going to expedite their ead?

I've always felt like doing a walk in is kinda cheating.. I mean, unless you can't make the actual appt because of previous plans like you're travelling or something. They give appointments for a reason and it's not like going early will expedite the process by much. If at all. ?

We're hoping to expedite. My husband has been in contact with a local businessman who is very anxious for him to get his EAD card, as they're in the same line of work, and the guy needs the help! We're hoping he'll write a formal offer letter so that he can request an expedite. Of course, still no actual mail from USCIS today. If not for those texts, I'd be pulling my hair out (even more than I was!).

I mailed ours to AZ P.O.Box on August 16th by USPS and was text/e-mailed that our papers are at the Texas Service Center. I hope you get word soon.

I was reading the thread and noticed that the passport pictures were questionable.

I've only sent in 2 Passport Photos for the WHOLE 3 Applications and the outcome of my wife's case status showed that I-485 was being processed at the Nebraska Center and the I-131 & I-765 did not have a location on where it is being handled but was under initial review. Could this be a bad thing? Thanks!
