When I called Friday to see if they had scanned my documents, Kendall first completed the formalities (names, DOBs, and email addresses), then asked me how she could help me. I told her my packages were sent to NVC, were they scanned in? She apparently typed something and told me they were received on Friday and proceeded to tell me about taking 60 days for review. I said I just wanted to know if my documents were scanned in or not and she sounded offended and told me, "Ma'm I just told you it takes 60 days to review." I guess another noob who doesn't know what scanned meant.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.

Another thing is according to USPS tracking, our documents were delivered 11:35 a.m. Thursday, but Kendall said they received the documents on Friday. From what Kendall said could it possibly mean they were scanned into the system?

Our AOS was sent July 10. Delivered to NVC July 14 according to the website. But when I called NVC they said they received it July 17. And I think that was the day they were scanned in the system.

Just receivef email for ds 260 for daughter . Wifes also. Wifes case has not been 30 days since case arrived. Not 30 business days. Sryy driving and texting. I am in shock

That's great! (But please, please don't text and drive at the same time...)

We are in the same situation. Expedited got denied and we gave same reason as you too. But the prefecture gave an extension for us - we asked for 2 months extension after the expiration of our CDS and we got it, and fortunately this would cover the interview date.

We are mostly concerned with trying to find a place to live. It's not possible to extend our current lease, so we are in a bit of a jam. I'm glad to hear the prefecture extended your validity. Best wishes for speedy processing!

Yes. That means Friday was your scanned date.

:rofl: :rofl: I guess NVC have their own terms they use. I.e When they say we RECEIVED your documents on a date. RECEIVED DATE = SCANNED DATE.

I'm filling out the DS-260 today :D

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

You could try putting briefly in notes about what people forgot . For example, it could be like "left section 13 on page 6 blank," or "didn't include marriage cert in native language." You could leave out the complicated ones until you find a solution for it.

The problem really wouldn't be including a note on the spreadsheet of what the checklist was for. It's obtaining what the checklist was for in the first place. I'll add this to the form if you wish, but it's just going to cause more problems for me.

Yes, indeed I misunderstood the wiki.

So basically I-864A is optional for joint-sponsor's spouse. To be on the safe side, I will just have her fill that form.

Just paid AOS fees, and ready to send my package. Do I need to be careful about anything, I am filling I864EZ, since I am the only one filling for my husband and my total income was 25500 for the last year. I am applying for family size 3 cos I have a child.

Do not leave the address space blank. Lots of people get checklist for leaving blank. Simply write N/A or rewrite the address again.

Pakistan is listed as one of the countries not required to submit a police report.

Should one be submitted anyway?

Yes they do say that but it doesn't hurt to get it in case, I submitted one.

I'm filling out the DS-260 today :D
