No problem. Go by what it says on Saylin's Wiki as it's 100% accurate.. Don't let others freak you out when someone they tell you something different . It's not good for this process, and it will save you from pulling your hair out! .

I am loosing my mind...... One and a half week before 30 business days and I get letter from NVC about delay, because they got to many cases from USCIS. I waited patiently for almost 6 month being at NVC, is it a joke? First of all we already paid one month, because of somebody's mistake (wrong case #) and now this.

I like theirs expedite very much too... Me and my daughter have been living in a fear for last several months, getting up in the middle of the night, because bombs are flying over your house and what NVC said, the expedite doesn't effect on reviewing documents. GREAT!!! Thank you, NVC very much for your kindness!!!

Hi all,

I am devastated. I received an IV Checklist this morning. Good news for all of you I did receive the 60 day email yesterday for the IV documents but they were reviewed less than 24 hours later.

Items checklisted for were:

Singapore Police Certificate - Expected although the information they have sent me is WAY out of date. It says they send the Certificate to NVC and they don't - they send it to me. I am going to see if I can take to interview but I suspect not.

Birth Certificate - already sent. I am adopted and I only have one Certificate. It is a long version, we sent them the original plus a copy. We also sent them a letter from the Registry from UK stating what an Adoption Certificate is. It is the same one I used last time to get my Green Card. Will talk to them about this tomorrow.

Australian Police Certificate - I live in South Australia and when you get one from here it is for the whole of Australia. They want one from NSW, where I have never lived and QLD where I lived for a year but this is included in the Federal one I have sent them. I seem to remember Sukie having trouble with this.

I have been trying to get hold of our lawyer all day today to no avail. Hubby called NVC this morning but I am going to call tomorrow and see if I can speak to a Supervisor. Is it easy to get a Supervisor? Should I say something specific to make sure they put me through.

Any help?

I'm SO sorry to read this I was really hoping you'd have some good news after a rough few weeks.

Hopefully you get supervisor Sylvia when you call. Just ask the operator for a supervisor and they should put you on hold then connect you. I'm sure they all have the same power (or lack of) but I found that she at least listened, empathized, and best of all actually got back to me when she said she would. She didn't try to talk over me when I was crying over our AOS checklist - and I was straight up sobbing!

I really hope you can get this sorted soon xx

Guys how many days does Nvc take to scan the docs from the receive date now??

I see after 3rd week of July Nvc takes 2 days to scan the docs from the receive date.

In June Nvc took 4-5 days to scan the docs but now it is taking less days...

I see a light at the end of this dark tunnel...

OMG if your case isn't expeditable then what the heck is! There is something very wrong here just doesn't make sense that you aren't already with your husband while others get expedited just because they live with their spouse. I'm so very sorry and I pray you and your daughter will be safe until this madness ends and your go home to your husband.

This freaks me out.

My barcode cover sheet FOR the IV package documents said "Attn: CMR" on it for where to mail. So, I mailed them (the IV civil docs) Attn: CMR. I also noticed Saylin's example cover letter for hte IV docs used Attn: CMR. I mailed out IV documents on their own (not with an AOS package)

How screwed am I that it went to Attn CMR? This is a bit distressing in the current NVC environment.

I just sent in my AOS checklist packet and the address on the barcode sheet was Attn: DR. If your barcode said CMR then that's where it needs to go.
