Possible Ways to Overcome the Delay at TSC

Based on the progress of I-129F petitions approved at TSC as seen on the website (http://dashboard.uscis.gov/) as well as the attached image below, it seems TSC is slowing down their approvals likely as a trade off with something more "necessary" to them such as I-130s due to the media hype and news coverage.

Only 564 I-129F petitions were approved in May 2014!

We should all (petitioners from Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, and Jul) come together to bring attention to this lag. I'm sure TSC is aware of the situation, but without any transparency or accountability of the situation, they will churn them out at the rate they feel like.

Yes, it may be only a "few" months delay in the grand scheme of things, but even those few months are precious with my fiance. And if you feel the same way, I think we should:

1) Write a letter and each of us send a copy to the director or other high ranking official at USCIS

2) Media attention on the subject just like how the I-130s had not too long ago

So, please let us try to do this not only for us, but those future filers as well!

My fiance and I looked over the dashboard on Saturday and I was lamenting how they can't even keep us updated - It was showing APR 14... At least now it's showing MAY 14!

Sadly, the numbers plummeted even more. The only positive is that there seems to be a decrease in I-129F's received as well. Not a lot, but some from the previous month.

I will be all for this, but I will hold off a bit. My fiance and I only filed July 2 and any contact from me now would seem ridiculous. If I hit my 5 months I'll be making a ruckus.

I've said this in another post, and nothing against any CSC filers, but it's almost a slap in the face when CSC is approving within 30-60 days and TSC is at 5.5+ months. Why can't USCIS start transferring? Honestly, if CSC needs more work they can definitely find some at TSC.

Good luck to those who try and contact now! I will do so if this drags on, but definitely going to wait a bit - it's only been two weeks and I don't know what will happen. We may even get transferred (boy I hope so) and it's too early for that.

I've already written to my senator about this situation – not about my case in particular because we're only at ~1 1/2mos. since filing, but with the overall inefficiency at TSC and the huge discrepancy between the two service centers – I've yet to receive a response.

It's unfair to those of us following legal immigration law having our application delayed because we were sent to TSC simply based on our state of residence. All Americans have a right to the same, reasonable processing time, regardless of where you live when you file.

I implore you to look into this discrepancy in processing times for the Texas Service Center's I-129f petitions. I encourage you to take action in resolving this matter so that all petitioners, regardless of their home state at the time of filing, are treated fairly with regards to the disparate wait times.

It sounds good...there's a few minor grammatical bits I'd fix, but it's 2am my time & I'm a bit too sleepy to edit. If no one else has by tomorrow, I'll look over it & provide the few edits I think might help. ( please take no offense). I may add in a few other bits as I think over it more, but so far it's quite good:) I've contacted my senators & congressman in the recent past, but data has gotten so much worse since then...it wouldn't hurt to write again...I'll check back after I wake up for work to see if anyone else has posted. But I'm totally on board! I don't like the idea of waiting until the end of the year just for this part of the petition process...I was crying earlier when I saw the results. I will post the link to this thread in all TSC monthly subforums, maybe we will have some luck and people will become aware that we need to take some action.

As someone wrote in the TSC January thread.. my heart is breaking at the thought that me and my fiancee might not get our NOA2 this ever, even if we are May fillers.
