IV Fee available after AOS packet?

Hello,

I have been reading the forums and would like some clarification. There was a post that said that IV fee payments were taking up to 40 days after payment of AOS fees. My question is:

Is the IV fee link activated after the AOS packet is approved? It was my understanding that the IV fee was independent of the AOS process.

Thanks,

Harry

No they are two separate paths. The IV fee is activated after the DS-261 is reviewed and accepted. Click on the NVC Process wiki in my signature to read all about the process.

Hi Dwheels. May thanks for your clarification. I did read the Wiki last night and the wiki stated exactly what you said. But there was a thread by a different user on here that had me confused. So I thought I would ask

Iv fee is connected with ds261 and not with the AOS, based on my experience. Called nvc and thats what they told me that iv fee will be available to pay once form ds261 was reviewed.

I called them today because I've been waiting over 30 business days for my IV fee to be billed. Was just to keep waiting and that's it taking many people longer than that at the moment.

They said the same also goes for processing the AOS package.

I dont even know what to say here. This is beyond ridiculous. It will take 4 months to go through the NVC if you do not get any checklists. If you do get checklists, then it could go on for 6 to 7 months if it takes them 30 days to touch a document.
