OK, it doesn't mean much (if anything) and you veterans probably don't think this is noteworthy but we were just touched. At least it shows that CSC is working on at least some November cases now.

Betty and I are pretty excited about it. It's nice to see at least some activity after almost 70 days of nothing. :yes:

Our Timeline

08/03/06 -- Met online, have chatted almost every day since then

09/29/06 -- Met in person at the Lima Airport. 10 wonderful days together.

10/31/06 -- I-129F mailed to TSC

11/09/06 -- CSC cashes the check

11/14/06 -- NOA-1 Received

11/16/06 -- We get 11 days together in Arequipa (Betty's home town). I meet her family for the first time.

12/28/06 -- We get 19 days together in Arequipa. I'll be back in February.

01/18/07 -- Touched! First sign of life.

01/19/07 -- 12:10 AM, NOA-2! APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!! On to the next step.

01/19/07 -- Touched again, around 11 AM. I guess we're on the way to the NVC!!

:help: I guess im really a newbie, could someone tell me what touched is?

Congratus, touches are exciting and hugely reassuring!

Touches are when someone picks up our file, maybe works on it and they swipeS the bar code on some auto-system (I guess). When we check our case number status online at USCIS, we see that the date has changed - clicking on the case number shows us whether it is the same or different status. Even if the status doesn't change, it is great to see someone has actually touched our case!

It's definitely noteworthy - yet more evidence of activity at CSC!! Hope that touch turns into a quick approval! :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

2004-05-30: Met online on ICQ

2004-07-21: Fell in love

2005-06-02: Met in Hong Kong

2006-06-07: Met in Belgium

2006-06-15: Engaged in Italy

2006-10-10: I-129F Sent to NSC

2006-10-23: I-129F NOA1 from CSC

2006-10-26: Check cashed

2006-12-20: Met in Belgium again

2007-01-19: Touched finally!! Send us a NOA2 please!!

2007-01-19: WE GOT NOA2!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2007-01-20: Touched again

2007-01-25: Received NOA2 in mail

2007-02-01: File forwarded to Consulate from NVC

2007-02-08: Consulate received our file and right away mailed Packet 3!

2007-02-10: Packet 3 received!

2007-02-23: Gone for medical check and police report

2007-03-07: Mailed in all the forms needed to the consulate

2007-03-13: Consulate mailed out Packet 4!

2007-03-16: Packet 4 received!
