Interview Date: 11-13-14 @ 7:00am (Approved but need to submit a new passport & status=AP)

Nov-23-2014: Status date updated but still shows AP


Nov-28-2014: VISA ISSUED


Dec-09-2014: POE - JFK- NY


Dec-15-2014: SS card in the mail

Congratulations!!! I have two questions.

One is through which filing status did u submit AOS? Single of married?

And second is u said u sent tax returns. Did u send them without 1099 and w2? My husband has included his transcript but sponsor had 2013 return and 2011 2012 transcript. We had already wasted a lot of time so we just sent with the rerun without w2 and 1099. I was wondering if I m gonna checklist for that. Hopefully not :(

Answer 1 : Filled as a married

Answer 2 : if send tax return include W2 , if send transcript , no W2 required

2013 tax important not 2012 and 2011 ...I got back 2012 and 2011 before interview b/c its not required by pakistani guy

Hey congratulations on getting your visa!!

I had question for you regarding passport pickup. My wife had her interview last week and she has been issued a visa as well. Where does she pick up the passport. I assume that she will get a call and be told when and where to go.

there is ALWAYS a reason for AP, ALWAYS. They don't do it to make you suffer,or because they don;t like you, or because your skin is pink with purple polka dots, they do it because they need more background checks, plain and simple. Pakistan has a high incidence of visa fraud, has many people involved in terrorist activities, and the record keeping in the country is poor at best so verifying documents can be very difficult. The job of USCIS, the Department of State and the consulate is to protect US citizens and their interests, not to grant everyone who applies for a visa a free pass with no questions asked. I understand what it is like to be in AP my husband had it, I also understand the reasoning that was behind it. The reason is the safety of this great country and it citizens.

I am waiting the call too !! My visa has also been issued !!

Call should be come from American Express depends upon your city !!

Which city your wife belong ?

CO told me you will get a call within 7 days so today is 3rd day !!!!

Thankyou :) one more thing. My nadra marriage and birth certificate is certified by foreign ministry affairs but not my Nikah Nama. Is that gonna be a problem? Did u get everything attested?

Not at all !!!

Even my Nadra Marriage certificate was a copy not original !!!!

All things was original except Nadra Marriage Certificate !!!

so finally today i received my passport with packet !!! thx all who support me during whole process !!!

Interview : 3 July

Visa Issued : 7 July

Passport Received : 10 July
