You have to wait on the biometrics letter to try to do the walk in. I'm in the same waiting situation for biometrics letter.

Yes you still get RFE after NOA1.. The NOA1 is just a notice that they got ur packet and will give you your Case Number.

My I485 is still under acceptance...errrr

Same here. I am getting the feeling that interview will be waived. Most of the k1 cases I have seen for k1 interviews being waived if they had their EAD combo card first.

That was the trending for the may and June filers from k1

thought only cases at California were waived.

HI! Do you mind me asking how many days later you recieved the combo card? Sorry if we're being antsy. It took about 75 days for it to be approved, and now the wait for the card is a killer): We just want it so my husband can FINALLY apply for his drivers license. The DMV won't let us start even the permit process with a print out of the case status. They want the 797 or the actual card.

I was approved on a Friday and received my card by the following week. I picked it up on Saturday, I believe... but it arrived on Friday. I wasn't home when it was delivered. Definitely no longer than 1 week.

Travelling with AP is sort of a trap and USCIS knows it but still gladly gives people a nice opportunity to get trapped. (Just my opinion) :( I recommend to use AP only for some sort of emergency because of what might happen. :( but this is only my opinion..

I didn't think they were trying to trap you or lock you out... I found the CO's very pleasant and was going through the motions. They were well aware of what an AP was and that it was valid for a year and could be used. They just needed to put another note in my passport because my PR status hasn't been approved yet.

However, I could see if one got a inexperienced CO that things could go south. I would recommend bringing USCIC paperwork to show that you're still pending status and that your travel (AP) doc was approved. They will go check it anyways but having a copy on hand wouldn't hurt.

Same here, I got it today. It was mailed 2 days ago. Do not like this letter at all, errrrr

But hey I have seen other post that they got their gc after only a few weeks let's see keep the faith! :)

I don't think I will be this lucky. My AOS journey so far is pretty bumpy :cry::cry:
