You do not receive an email when your case arrives at the NVC. The only option you have is to call them and confirm if your case has been received or not. I would wait about a week after the shipping date. From that date, it could take anywhere from 1-3 weeks to be received at the NVC. :)

Sounds like someone read my wiki :star::star::star:

I just spoke with an NVC rep {didn't get to catch her name}she told me that my AOS have been reviewed and accepted and fine. She said all they are waiting for is my civil documents. I told her its been delivered today, she said it will be scanned into the system in few days. I guess maybe Friday, would call NVC on Friday to check if its been scanned in. One NVC hurdle crossed!!! Next is IV packaged.

Congrats! Good news! When did NVC accept your AOS package? :huh2: Did you get a false checklist?

I'm a little confused, though. In your signature, it says that your AOS package was scanned in on July 13...should that be June 13?

Congrats!!! What a huge relief, seems like AOS checklists are fairly common. I am a bit confused by your timeline though, did it really take a month for NVC to scan in your AOS package?

Saylin,

Should the amount in I 864 part 6, 5 ( my current individual income is ) same as part 6, 13 a ?

In most cases it's not (due to raises, changing jobs, etc). Remember, question 5 is asking about CURRENT income (this is based on an employment letter and pay stubs), whereas question 13 is about PREVIOUS YEARS' income (based on tax information).

Thank You Saylin,

i have got a checklist for 13 a. though i have put the exact amount from my 1040 line 22 ( total income) in the 2013 tax column. I called NVC and the rep did not have accurate answer and simply ask me to do it again and send it. Does not make sense to me. huh

That's the only number that you will be able to reach them at. Just keep on trying until it's not busy anymore! (unless you want to wait for an email from them, which who knows how long that might take) :)

I got a checklist for the same thing. My lawyer took the total adjusted gross income and put it on my paperwork. You can only do this if you file a 1040EZ form to the IRS. I filed a regular 1040 and was supposed to put total income only. Losing a whole month because of it. Its ridiculous!

And that's IF they have an email address on file. Otherwise you have to wait for snail mail, which can take months to receive.
