Ustraveldocs.com ? What is it and how does it work?

Hi all!!

My fiance and I called the Embassy the other day to check on the status of our application (this was prior to receiving our interview date) and they said we needed to sign up for an account on www.ustraveldocs.com.

Well, now we've got our interview date and ceac.org says our status is "Ready," but our account on this ustraveldocs website still says we're not eligible to apply for an immigrant visa, and under the nonimmigrant section, it doesn't give the option to select K-1. Any ideas about what this means? Has anyone else needed to use this site? Is it a standard thing or specific to Cambodia?

Thanks so much everyone!

Huh? That's the new govt site that handles the visa fees. It's not some 3rd party who's trying to make money off anyone.

That site is used by many different consulates for paying the visa fees and scheduling interviews. I am not sure what the person above is speaking about. That site will not charge you anything and is not going to ask you for money to use it.

This page shows how to pay and schedule for Cambodia and you can also follow the link there to fill out your DS-160 too > http://www.ustraveldocs.com/kh/kh-niv-paymentinfo.asp

This guy is confused or does not know what he is talking about. Please ignore it.

UStraveldocs is the way you pay consular fees and schedule your interview. Maybe not for every country but for a lot of them.

Have your fiance/e make an account there and the rest is pretty self explanatory.

Immigrant Visa

If you are immigrating to the United States, you need to have a petition approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). See the Immigrant Visa Information page for additional information. This process is handled separately by the Embassy.

Hello,

Here is the link to get deposit slip for Cambodia K1.

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/kh/kh-svc-groupappointment.asp

After you get to the page, scroll down to K visa and select 1 from the drop box arrow.

It will then take you to the deposit page where you can print it and take it to pay for interview fee $240.

You will see there are English and Khmer instructions on the deposit slip.

Make sure there is CGI number on the slip.

This appears to be the consulate that handles the K-1 interviews for Azerbaijan, and they do use the ustraveldocs website > http://georgia.usembassy.gov/fiancee-visa.html

Ahh, I see the Georgia ustraveldocs site then states you need the payment voucher and to pay at a bank. That contradicts the consulate site a bit. Makes it sound like you can pay online there too >

Thanks everyone! Do you know if I can pay for it without having the option of selecting "Immigrant Visa?" This is so helpful! I really appreciate you all!

P.S. Daniel and Theary, When I first saw the website I thought it looked like one of those silly "help" websites too. Usually government websites are far less straightforward. :D

Yup, it is a bit confusing with all this using different country for the visa thing.:)

Hello again,

Do NOT create an account to sign in to select anything about visa type. Just follow my link above, print or save as pdf file the deposit slip, send it to your fiance to print in cambodia.

He then go to ACLEDA bank in Phnom Penh. Pay the fee and keep the receipt for the interview. His receipt should also have the same CGI number from the deposit slip. That's it.

I am so sorry I guess I am wrong this must be something new we did not need this in 2011 for my wife or 2012 for her daughter. Most Government websites end with .gov

I do know that several websites try to get people to send in money my wife received a few even after moving to the states. Again I am very sorry I didnt mean to mislead you in anyway Thank you to the people who pointed out my mistake

No worries!! Actually, according to the U.S. Embassy website, this is a new thing they're doing in Phnom Penh. When my fiance first got the notification that a new account had been created in his name, I immediately thought that this was another scam site. You and I are on the same page, Daniel and Theary! :) I hope you and your propoun sa/at are doing well!

Thanks to everyone who helped us here!
